I didn't want to take my Math course in an accelerated format during the summer, I was gonna take the 14 week summer session for math, but that starts tommarow, so theres no time for me to possible attend that on time, since I wouldn't have the means to get there for a few more weeks.
And all those people aren't stupid because it is a good idea for me, because I have done nothing for 3 years and theres absolutely no chance I could handle a full caseload right now, I garentee it. I'm used to doing nothing for hours at a time. Like, an eventful day for me is picking up the mail and getting into my car and running it for a few minutes. I need to work my way up to full effecency, Since I did very little in high school as well. I need to get used to actually doing work.

i think you're drastically over estimating how much work these classes require

Post by Mario the black knight on May 11, 2011 22:02:15 GMT -5
Possibly. Thats what the Summer Semister is for. The work is probably extremely easy, and I can probably handle it, but it's the actual structure I'm concerned about, since conforming to this kind of organized structure is tough for me. If I am indeed over estimating this, I'll schedule more classes for fall.

it would be a billion times easier to schedule more classes now and THEN drop them if you think you should so everything isnt totally filled up by the time summer is over

can you even get financial aid with that schedule

Well, thats what the advisor told me to do, he said I should schedule more later if I feel up to it. I'm just gonna go by what he said.
He said it doesn't matter, he said 6 credits minimum for state funding, but it doesn't matter for federal funding.

My schools has the moneys.
Aww, thanks!
A great big party with 40 people minimum inviting all my friends and family over and playing video games and stuff and eating food. You know, just having a great time. Well actually, I only invited like 3 friends over, an everyone else is either family or my parents' friends, so whatever.

Heh heh, clearly. Ours was given the money, the teachers all tooks it all and puts it in their pocketses
:nigga: It's a great accomplishment, not nessesarily hard, but a tedious task, much like collecting flags or leveling up. But it's a once in a lifetime thing, which kinda represents the start of your life falling into your own control. It's exciting.
Ha ha ha ha, right, one of those parties. Basically your parents have a party because of something you did, like being born or graduating. With an alcoholic mother who once had a boyfriend with a large family, I know what thats like. Being at a party where you know next to no one there. It's a great way to make money though, ha ha ha ha h ha

It took 13 years, so I think it's nice that it's payed off. I'm more excited about starting college though. ^_^
Well, I actually do know everybody that's invited, most of them are my neighbors. My parents hold a lot of parties throughout the year because we have the biggest TV for the Superbowl and stuff.

Yeah! And thats the best part, kinda the doorway to your own independant life, it's nice!
Yeah, I meant like you know them, but it's not exactly like they are there spesifically for you, you know what I mean? Still though, it makes no difference, they know they are there partially for you, and have cash money as a reward for offering them an excuse for a social gathering. And yeah, no kidding, ha ha ha ha h ha ha. Whats the PS3 like on that thing? I can't even imagine a TV that size outside of Times Square.

WAIT! Is this the party they're kicking you out of your room for!?!?! What, are they giving you a camp out with the spiders as a graduation gift? No, they never kicked me out. They kicked out my brother. :3 And I got hundreds of dollars last night. >_> Didn't do an exact count, but it'll probably cover a new laptop and a few new games coming out this Fall and next year. Or part of my school costs. Since that is what it's supposed to be used for... I wish school was free.

Woah, there is justice in the world! At least a teeny bit. But YAY!
Damn! Awesome! Like I said, brilliant money making ground, and since your parents friends are probably significantly better off than anyone my mom knows, you probably made a killing. You might need a lockbox like mine now, Hah a ha ha.
Awwwwwww... If loans cover it, you should be fine for now. But I guess you need survival funds too. I guess save some of it and then see how things turn out, and use it on the games if you don't need the money for anything else.
So what kind of Laptop are you looking at?

I do have a loan covering my costs, and I think my parents are paying for most of it anyway and I feel guilty about it. I believe they need to pay 6,000 dollars by September... I don't have a job right now and just feel like a leech. I don't like having other people pay for my stuff because I feel like I have to pay them back somehow. I think I'll save around $500 as an emergency fund. But since I don't know that exact amount, I might need a little more to buy a really high end laptop. I don't want one that will crap out after a year or two, and I'll need one for my computer courses anyway. Because I already know that some of my classes I'll have to download specific software and use it for assignments. The Virtual Worlds class actually has a physics engine that I'll need to download and use for when I start making basic games. So yeah, I have no idea exactly what I'll buy. I remember about 6 months back I saw a very awesome non-Alienware laptop with an epic processor and graphics card, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called.

Ha ha ha hah a, you know how I feel now about the computer, but I've come to terms with it, so you can too! I think they owe you for years of blatent favoritism. If you really need to pay them back, do so when you get hired and make tons of money working for Team Black. Trust me, you need the money more than they do, they'll just buy more TVs if you pay them back now, Ha ha ha ha
Thats an OK amount for a backup fund, but Jeez, thats just a testimate to just how much you got, Ha ha ha hah a. And good idea. And as far as a hint on that non-Alienware laptop that was really awesome that you can't remember the name of, UMMM, VAIO? If theres any computer that can handle a preverbial beating (not a literal one, trust me) it's the Vaio. Outside of that one incident that killed it (and would kill anything short of a Military terminal) that computer was the love of my life, it was LIGHTNING, no matter what I was doing, I could run everything on the computer at the same time, and it would still be really really fast. It also had an unbeileveable display, and since your a movie person that might be valueable to you, not to mention for Steam and playing games on there under the rare occation that you might. I bought mine because I wanted something for game building for college. If you do decide on that though, or on anything you decide on, GET THE ACCIDENT COVERAGE WARRENTY, ALWAYS. It will save your life someday. Or at least your computer's.

So it's actually quite possible that the Aikido class was just filled up, not closed forever. About half of my classes on my schedule are filled up now as well, so I did my schedule in the nick of time. >_>

And I found that there's a Gamestop less than a mile away from my University, so that's good.
Most students probably have consoles anyway, so their location makes sense.
