Whaaaaaaaaat!? Jeez, thats ridiculous Well yeah, here it's either a 2 year or a 4 year degree, it's just 3 is an odd number. And indeed, that sounds like a good idea. So is that like another seperate school or is that just an extra part of the regular degree from University. Yeah, I figure, Biology sucks. And I guess it would make sense to get a better grade. the top up degree you do in a normal university. the first degree you do is called an "undergraduate course" then the top up or other degrees AFTER your first degree (doctorate, etc) is called a "postgraduate course"

Good lord, the american system sucks, but at least it makes a little sense. High School, college, done.

PhDs, Masters degrees, Law Degrees, Medical Degrees, etc. stuff you get after a bachelor's degree.
you dont think university professors just go around getting hired with bachelors degrees do you?

Oh those. I thought PHDs and masters degrees were like, single programs, I didn't think you needed a degree to get one of those degrees.

Nope, you have to graduate college and go back later and do some massive research project and get your degree. Or at least, that's how my teachers described getting their master's.

masters dont really require research. PhDs are research intensive.

Argh, I don't know all this stuff!
I guess I don't need to, since the degree I'm getting is ridiculously simple and doesn't have any real study thing afterward like that.

PhDs are referred to as doctors

PhD means Doctor of Philosophy, which is basically for any academic subject. Medical Doctors get MDs, Doctors of Medicine, and Lawyers get JDs, Juris Doctors

I dunno....teaching stuff
She teaches, I think, at Stroudsburg University. She teaches other teachers, thats what she told me, so I'm guessing it's some program for teaching degrees or something, I have no idea.

By the way, I'm scheduling my classes on friday, for both Summer and Fall. My OVR Caseworker agrees with my logic as far as my plan is concerned, with the smaller class load for the early semisters
So when did you say you were having your classes, I'm trying to get Summer 1 so we're there at the same time.

I'm pretty sure. I think that could lead to a somewhat effective system that would allow us to split the gas cost, if a million things go right. I guess it's all dependant on if I can get my math class in this timeframe, since god knows how many people from this area need remedial math.
So when would I need to be up to be there by 10, like 9? I'm not sure about the time it would take to get there. I'm guessing Blue Bell is about 45 minutes from my house?

Yep, thats what this thread is about.
I schedule tommarow. So do you think I should try to schedule my math at 10 so we can go together? Also, how early would I have to be up!? I need to know!

well i've been too busy to do get out to norristown lately so i cant drive yet, i'd be taking the bus in. for you to come and get me and then go to blue bell would take over an hour.

What about Malvern, Norristown sucks for getting your licence anyway. If you get your licence, we could split the gas, you drive here, then I drive the rest of the way. It could be beneficial for us both.

i definitely wont be able to get it before the start of summer semester. in 2 weeks after finals i should have time to finally get my permit, then another month to get my license, and then summer 1 is almost over. and i doubt you'd want to get up at 6:30 am for me to pick you up during summer 2. i just havent had any time to do it these past few months

So wait, you need to wait a month to get your licence? I thought you already had your permit anyway. And Summer 1 is only like a month long?
Damn, I was kinda hoping I had a backup plan for a ride in case I wasn't ready...
