its definitely above dae joyoung for me, and i loved dae joyoung. at this point i'd HAVE to see yi soon shin again to be able to say which is better for sure. it's that good.

Now I wouldn't go that far. I associated far more with the characters in Dae Joyoung. They were more like dynamic, and so much more happened. In this, I disliked most of the characters as people, since they were all in essence bad guys, In Dae Joyoung, Justice got served, there were good guys you could always get behind. And this drama was much darker, and they didn't have the proportionate amount of comedy relief it needed like Dae Joyoung did. I mean between the little bits with Hong Pei and Xue Rengui, and of course Heuk Sudol, you had what you needed.
I would wanna see Yi Soon Shin either way, just to see how it stacks up over time. I was a novice when I first saw it, so I want to learn a little better about the characters and stuff

i dont even know what the best part of the episode was. the attempted coup, the deposal, or the emperor realizing he should have been serving the people while he was being carted away. and of course the end was insane. everything in between was great too, like general kim takin out that eunuch. it was just unbelievably great. god i'll miss this show.

and of course Choi Choong-hon daring the Emperor to strike him, and how he moved forward and the Emperor shrunk back.
and the kidnapping of the Empress "Have you no fear of that Gods!?" "The Gods allowed me to escape the Emperor's murder attempt, so no, I have no fear of the Gods."

I cannot think of a flaw in this episode. Like, from the first minute to the last it was absolute gold. I mean I loved that, like right when Choong Hon walks into the assembly hall and The Emperor pulls the sword on him, he steps up, he steps back, every spoken piece of dialogue in that part, the Eunichs run in, you think Choong Hon is done, he breaks loose, grabs the sword, starts fucking people up, all the while starring down the emperor. Him fleeing the castle, the Indian assassin comes in, chasing him down, then his solders come in, he breaks into that one room, the assassin still after him, he just barely evades him, the dude outside pretending to be Choong hon gets his ass beat, then Choong Hons other men come and save him, then fucking everything breaks down, it was just insane. Just like, every second. And just tons of fucking crazy awesome quotes. Oh my god that was just unbeileveable.

and choong-hon and his actor were the PERFECT person for this episode. it took an ice cold gangsta to pull all that off, and thats him.

yeah, really. His actor really is the shit. I mean who else is cool enough to pull off a pair of aviators in a ministers robe?
Plus, his delivery is always just stone cold badass. He could be saying almost anything, and it just comes off amazing.

Compared to the expectations set in the last episode, this episode felt so weak. But most episodes of almost anything would have trouble measuring up to last night.

it was still pretty great if you think about it though. the beginning with choong-hon talking about how he would PULVERIZE anyone who stood against him, the DRAMA with his sons, and the ending.

There definatly will be
And I know not because I looked at the crown prince of this thread. They would be insane not to, I mean what other views does this channel get otherwise? It needs the Drama people to keep it alive.

what i hear is that the korean drama watchers are the HUGE portion of their viewership, but they dont buy memberships that often, and the main financial supporters are the people associated with the other gay CULTURALLY AWARE shows etc

What, like the literally gay culturally aware shows? Thought so. Not shocked. I figure some of the korean drama people do buy like DVDs and soundtracks and stuff, like the ones who don't have like the huge internet databases and such. I dunno, I figured they got some support at least.
