I love the fact that it looks like a sandbox game where you can see these creatures and just engage them. So awesome!

Yeah, I like that look, not only that, it looked like there are dungeons and stuff.
And I wasn't sure, but was it like you create your own characters, or was it premade characters in a party? Or was it a mix of the two? Either way, it's really awesome looking. I like the play styles they seem to allow, between that knight, and the mage, and the archer. I'm confedent it will be awesome as far as the action is concerned, since it was the DMC/RE4 people working on it. I really wanna see more about this game now.

There's no information regarding multiplayer, but according to Wikipedia there will be a minimum 30 hour playthrough, NPCs can be recruited to fight for you if you doubt your skill, you can actually talk with NPCs using your mic (?! ), you can create your own character from scratch, and borrow NPCs from other peoples' games. Do want! Do want!

Whazawhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!?!?!?!?!?!?
This sounds straight up insane! Although talking to NPCs on your mic? Thats a little much. I was kinda wondering about character creation, I kinda thought this would be an awesome game for that, I'm glad it has it! Awesome! Multiplayer would make this perfect. And borrow NPCs? That sounds to me like you can make NPCs. Perhaps every character you make can also join you?
Oh my god, I agree, Do want as well!

WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!?!?!
WHY WOULD THEY DO SUCH A THING?!?! UGH!! Whats the point of releasing anything at all game related in January, you have to be stupid to do that, at the very least push it to March like they did with Killzone or something. This is what pissed me off about LBP2, I couldn't get it for christmas last year because they had to do something like this.
At least for christmas 2012 It'll be cheaper, and the first time anyone in the world will ever buy one.

Japan is still getting it late 2011, so I don't understand this at all.
I GUESS there might be a hardware issue, or they want more games at launch, but it's almost an unwritten rule to release new console right before or during the holiday season for maximum profit.

REALLY!? JAPAN FIRST! Whatever happened to Emperor Loserman who like, hates young asian people and chases animes off of his front lawn with a stick trying everything he can to destroy the fun of little kids?
There has to be some really stupid reason, Maybe they just want to duplicate the fate of the PSP for the Vita for some unfathomable reason. You have to be retarded not to release this at christmas, nothing else is coming out at christmas time, and at $249, that thing will massacre. You know what I bet it is, some weird contract thing with AT&T for the 3G, if that holds it up, I will be so pissed, the 3G model doesn't matter, even if that is the problem, release them in a staggered pattern, Wifi model for christmas, 3G model for a later date for double the success.

Well heres something odd, that oddly enough could be a mistake
PS3 got another price drop, it's now at $250.
Normally I'd say that was a good thing. Heres why it's not. The PSV also costs $250, and the 3G model costs $350.
Now why would they do that!? Whose gonna buy the portable when the console costs the same amount. This is exactly what they did to PSPgo, which was a bad idea anyway granted, but to put the final nail in the coffin they price dropped the PS3 before it's release. Now a Sony Consumer has $300 burning a hole in their pocket during a recession, what are they gonna spend their money on, a last gen portable or a current gen console that is also a blu ray player? Ridiculous. Same here though, they are going to sell absolutely no 3G PSVs, I was doubting they were going to sell too may before, but now I know they won't sell very many.
This is quickly starting to look like the PSP all over again, that makes me mad, because it's brilliant technology and tons of good games, and they are just going to botch it like no ones business. They work so hard against themselves, it drives me crazy. They have a brilliant product, and they can't sell it to anyone, meanwhile Nintendo is selling ice cubes to eskimos at a premium price with their new handheld. It boggles my mind that Sony doesn't have a clue how to sell their products anymore. They couldn't sell the cure to cancer right now if they had it.

The handheld market and console market are different, not to mention that Sony is catering more of its handheld market to Japan, thus their 2011 release date. In fact, in Japan, handhelds, cell phones and tablets are outselling consoles and therefore I believe that Sony is not worried about the PSV's number (because I know of many, many people on the internets raving about it), but it's likely that the PS3's coming to its peak and the only way to get people to buy consoles is to price drop them (because of the established software library). Not to mention that blu ray has become more affordable and is becoming more popular by the day.
Unlike Nintendo, Sony doesn't intend to give out a price drop of the PSV a few months into its life cycle. They know that people who always wanted a PS3 already have one, and those that want the lastest gadget will buy the PSV despite its price being on par for a console. People want the PSV, it's not like the 3DS (that is only supported by nostalgia and the 3D phase).
The problem of the PSP was that Sony wanted to break into Nintendo's handheld reign, and there was no consumer value to do so. Now that people play games on nearly every gadget they own, those looking for deeper, non-flash games will look towards the PSV. It more depends on whether or not the buyer wants to carry around another gadget in their pockets, really.

I guess that is really true, the market is a different place than it was 7 years ago, so it may be much different. It just doesn't feel like the hype is there like it was for 3DS, it just feels like this thing thats gonna come out that no one will know about, especially considering it's coming out AFTER the holiday season, I think between the price drop and the release date, it might not condemn the system completely, but it will hurt it.
While it's true that the PS3 is in a different place than it was a few years ago, I think the price drop was still poorly timed. They should have definately waited until september or october and made a big deal about it. Put out some awesome Kevin Butler revival commercial talking about the new price drop, and just make a huge deal, and also launch an Team ICO bundle, maybe get a cool Ico/Colossus skin PS3. Price dropped and everything and make a huge deal of it all.
I think it really does fill the gap as far as a serious portable game machine, but they really shouldn't have gone with the now aging 3G technology, they should have found a more effective way of doing that, since now all these new devices do everything. But at the same time, I think it's gonna be walking a very fine line between functioning as a hardcore game platform and something that does everything all your other crap already does. It has to compete with Apple way more than it needs to with 3DS now, and if it tries to beat the iPad, it's gonna lose. So it needs to emphisise it's strongest suit, the games. The online gaming aspects I think are gonna be a big dealmaker depending on how they handle it. If they do it really well, that will sell it big, if they botch it, it will have a lot of trouble. While the interactivity is brilliant and features are great, the online compatibility with PS3 is a big big factor as well, so developing the online is gonna be the biggest thing they need to promote. That and the actual game quality, although the PSP games had a ton of quality that no one ever got to play. So in general, it really needs to do stuff that the other platforms don't, and it needs the right press.

I did too, he was gone for far too long.
Well he is already the VP of sharpening things. So it wouldn't be a stretch to give him a hidden blade. I'm just interested in what they'll do with Vita

I hate reading game websites sometimes, especially reviews. I mean this was mostly positive, but they had to try to present negitives. "don't expect PS3 level visuals"? Umm, duh? Is it really so hard to grasp that it's a PS2 game? It's because it's become the norm to find negitives in everything in game reviews, reviewers and critics of other things are perfectly capable of giving all positive reviews.
I am extremely excited for this though!! I just hope I have a car to drive to Gamestop in by the 27th

Hahaha, G4 always has a random con on their reviews because it seems like they can't find any cons and people would be suspicious of a total-positive review. Because gamers can't take anything that doesn't fit their own opinions. They're pretty much the hardest group ever to please.

Yeah, they are whiney punks, and these review websites,(made up of these whiney punks) use a broken game review system to review their games, because it's cool to trash even games you like, everyone wants to be cool like that limey queer from the Zero Punctuation videos.
Only a select few actually discriminate about what games we play based on quality, most people obviously don't care, otherwise they wouldn't play most of the popular clone games that flood the market today. In short, the average 'gamer' is actually extremely easy to please, it's just these reviewers have a very narrow scope of whats actually good. and that is to say it's whatever they can see from the scope of their floating gun with arms attached to it.

Yahtzee doesn't do reviews though, he's a critic. He gets paid to trash on games. The only games that he didn't trash in his videos have been Limbo, Shadow of the Colossus, Portal and Silent Hill 2 because he thinks those games are the closest to perfect he can find. But anyway, his job is to be an entertainer and only idiots would use his videos as a true review. I just watch them for the laughs.
There's actually a group called Extra Credits... you should check them out. They don't review games, they review the industry. Their videos actually are quite interesting and objective of the topics as they try to avoid bias.

I just don't find him funny. I find him to be irritating. And it's the idiots who write the reviews, so naturally they would try to copy him.
I don't like reading these websites, they make my brain hemerage, especially the comments sections, I just want to scream at the computer when I read this junk. All of these peoples opinions are for the most part wrong. I only try to read these sites for facts, otherwise I go crazy.
