The flying dragon in the desert.
He dived-bombed into the sand and I was able to jump directly onto his back as Agro got carried away... Haha

Oh, that one in the video I have yet to face, facinating
I love finding different ways to slay them, like when I had my weird method of slaying the one with the guisers or however you spell it, I would launch off of Agro and hang from him and stab him for a while, which didn't do much, but looked cool and triggered the cool music

Yeah, but it was strange because Phalanx never did that before and I tried to re-do it but I couldn't hahaha
Yeah, Basaran. It's possible to Agro-launch onto him and beat him that way, but I usually just stick to the geysers.

Wow, Maybe it was something you did or something, Or Maybe Phalanx needed a nap
I remember you posted a thread about Basaran a long time ago, him being your least favorite

I think if I shoot him at the right time, he'll dive again. The reason it happened was because I missed my first shot. I just can't get it to happen on purpose. Hahaha
Well, that's because I was doing Hard Time Attack. I have to defeat him in a set time limit and he wouldn't go on the geyser. :/

Ha hah a ha ha, yeah, thats just how it goes, they never die the way you want them to
Awww, he really was an asshole, I didn't like fighting him at all, he was my longest fight thus far, although the tiny fire hater Colossus was a long one, with it's great reference to ICO. I loved that when I realized that was the reason for it.

I think I face Phalanax next
And who are those creepy dudes with the weird masks and the one white horse in the cutscene after I beat giant water turtle man thing
And have you found all the secrets like the health upgrades and the one thing says you can get the Queen's sword from ICO, did you get all that stuff?

I can't get it to happen again. I think it was a glitch. But a cool one~ And yeah, you face him next if you saw that cutscene. Those guys will show up again, and you'll see why they're there later on. Yes, I got all that stuff. Plus the harpoons and exploding arrows that I sometimes use with Agro as target practice.

There's actually only one thing I haven't done in SotC, and that's visiting the secret garden. Though I feel that if I go to it, all the secrets and the mystery of the game might fade a little...

Wow, there are a lot of secrets in this game, it seems pretty straight forward from the surface, but there is a lot more to it.
Whats in the garden?

Fruit, deer, and the bridge from the first cutscene.

Wow, damn!
This game gets better by the day
I read somewhere that if you have a save file for ICO on your Memory Card, Agro will have the ICO "I" on his forehead. I hope that works on a file thats already started, I wanna see that show up on my file.
I wanna get as many of the secrets as I can, I hope to get the Queen's Sword because that sword is awesome.

And when you beat time attack on easy, Agro can turn brown. On hard mode, he can turn white. But you can change his colors at anytime, on any file. So I assume Agro's "I" will still be there.
Ueda also wanted an alternate ending for people who had an ICO save file, but he felt that this would be unfair for people who never played ICO, so his team cut it.

I hope so, I'll feel all special because of my completed ICO file
Aww, that would have been pretty awesome, but all in all, I agree with the decision, it would have been unfair, and most of the time I don't like multiple endings. It's only good when one is clearly considered Canon, and the rest are clearly just extra endings for the player to work for for perfect completion, like Silent Hill with the UFO ending, it's clearly just an extra for players, no effect on the true story or anything. I like a solid story that leads to a single solid resolution.
I'd really love it if the 3 games really did take place in the same world and TLG reveals more facts and links between the stories, like build a real chonology Legend of Zelda style

Yeah, people think because of SotC's ending, that SotC takes place a couple thousand years before ICO.

Oh damn, I better see the ending soon so I can see what I think.
I wonder where TLG will take place, and how it will relate to the last two, I think a lot of the settings look a lot more like ICO than SotC. I really can't wait to find out more

Post by pichubro on Apr 19, 2010 0:23:55 GMT -5
Well it's definitely closer to ICO than SotC, since, you know, there's civilization and stuff. But we don't know where Wanderer came from, so it's possible that this place is where Wanderer came from and the storyline can be taking place at the same time.
It's kinda hard to tell because the kid does not have horns. That would make a difference to me.

But at the same time perhaps he's from ICO's village
Or maybe even perhaps Wanderer and ICO's village are one in the same just from different eras.
He looks tan like ICO though. And Toriko resembles a Colossus of sorts, so maybe Toriko is like the last Remaining Colossi or something

|
Post by pichubro on Apr 19, 2010 0:32:35 GMT -5
Maybe Toriko is the embodiment of Dormin! No, that would be too scary and weird. Hahaha It's hard to tell the difference between places since they aren't named or put on maps. All we know is that the place where Wanderer goes to kill the Colossi is called the Forbidden Lands.

|
|
Post by Mario the black knight on Apr 19, 2010 0:38:37 GMT -5
Oh god, that would be creepy, Ha ha ha, and I would picture Dormin being bigger, like bigger than the colossi if he had a physical form, or much smaller, like the butterfly from Tower of Heaven, one of the games I competed against
Yeah, thats true too, maybe they'll reveal more of the relation to locations in this one. I think it could too, since there are more human threats like the guards and all. Maybe we'll learn more about the society as a whole, they in both games seem extremely religious and like ceremony and such, like sacrifice of ICO and Those masked guys from that cutscene, so maybe we'll learn more about these mysterious other people

"Toriko! You really love those barrels!" "Yes, they fill me with the necessary essence to purge myself of this form, and to take on my true form!" "..." >_>
I should stop hahaha
What if the boy in TLG and ICO were friends at one point, and the boy in TLG wants to go find him with the help of Toriko?

Post by Mario the black knight on Apr 19, 2010 0:53:12 GMT -5
That would be terrifying.............
Ha ha h ha ha, indeed, just the thought of that happening is scary
I dunno, because if he was shunned, the boy wouldn't want to be friends with him, or wouldn't be allowed to be friends with him, but you never know. The guards look different though, I think it may be a different era, like one set between SotC and ICO, or maybe after, maybe he's like a son of ICO or something who somehow didn't have horns.

Or maybe they could not be connected at all! Hahaha
I personally don't really believe that SotC and ICO are connected in a true way of prequel-sequel, but perhaps just in the same dimension.

Yeah, same universe, I can see that. I think they take place in the same world though, ICO and TLG look waaay too similar to not be in the same place in different times. All the times are probably so distant though that none of the stories effect each other in any direct way, like the actions of a peasent in Ancient Mesimatamia having an effect on how an Iraqi person will live five thousand years from now. They are so distant that none of them could possibly have ever known about each other and minimally effect each others journies.
I had a thought though. In SotC, barely any buildings or structures of any kind exist. In ICO, your in a huge castle, and it seems ancient like it's been there forever, and it seems like more structures exist all over, and they all seem abandoned, or as if they once served a purpose. Maybe TLG will take place during the prime of this civilization that built all these structures and we'll find out why everything is so abandoned by the time ICO comes along, like perhaps what event ended up labeling children with horns as a bad omen.

Is it possible that the temple Wanderer goes to end's up being the Queen's Castle in ICO?
