Cause Nature Be Like youtu.be/EBuZrPI2x_g?t=41sIt started about an hour ago Current estimates predict about 2 feet over the next 36 hours. Apparently at some points coming as fast as 3 inches per hour. And if you've seen what 1 inch per hour looks like, you know thats ridiculous, because 1 inch per hour is white out conditions. 3 inch per hour + 25mph sustained winds? That just sounds painful. Remember back in 2010 when 12+ inches wasn't a regular occurance? That was a fun time. Now we probably have at least one of these threads per year. Except last year, which was the year winter decided to take a break for a second before it could go back to hellish volleys of unending cold and tourment.

I remember last year being reletively tame, and actually not as cold as previous years. I remember because I have yet to drive my Mercedes in any serious snow, and I've only got the mercedes septermber before last.
Meh, I mean, I get kinda excited for the first one, then after a day or two the novelty wears off and I just get tired of all the white.

So I actually can't see out the window right now. It's not snowing incredibly hard, but the window is covered.
Everything is covered outside, the road looks completely impassible, and you can already hear the snowmobiles and four wheelers driving around out there. And this is only the beginning, tomorrow is supposed to be even worse.

Maybe your house will be warmer since there won't be wind coming through the window anymore hahaha

Oh no, the winds are supposed to kick up to like 25 mph tomorrow
It's crazy how cold it is right now actually, usually it's not this cold when it snows
But when it's super cold and snows, the flakes freeze even more and become more dense so that accumulation can happen even faster.

So I'm guessing you didn't see it, but I just got home and noticed how bright the moonlight was so I looked up and saw the moon perfectly in the middle of the sky directly above me, full, and had the largest halo I have ever seen. At least 35 moon lengths.

That is insane I could see the effects of the moon at least through the clouds, since I could still see outside at 1 am, at least through windows that weren't fogged over or clouded. In other news. Holy shit. So, it's 9am, and it's already completely impassible out there. It looks like when the storm is usually over out there, and it's just getting started, we're due at least another 12-15 inches... So yeah... Like, the road is gone, buried under inches of snow. Plows aren't doing ANYTHING. I haven't heard it this quiet outside my house in YEARS. Theres giant piles of snow on top of everything. Out in front of the back door the snow must be 3 feet deep already from snow falling off the roof. The dog could barely get out. He couldn't even really move. He just barely made it to the tree with the survailence camera before he was like "Nope." and came back in. And it isn't even at it's heaviest yet, and it is coming down so fast that shoveling is futile. So basically only two words describe this legendary scenario www.youtube.com/watch?v=6miaTf1gF4gShadow Moses. Also, I just saw a picture of a full sized PennDOT plow truck flipped over. I've NEVER seen that before. Those trucks are HUGE. media.lehighvalleylive.com/breaking-news_impact/photo/penndot-plowing-truck-6e4c1e1a437d71e2.jpgSo when the snow is beating the plow trucks? Who watches the Watchmen?! Who saves us now!? And again I reiterated, the storm is just getting started!

Right now, it's MAYBE quarter mile visability, the snow is coming down full force. Also, the news is in that classic freakout mode, my favorite www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/PHI-NEW-Watch-Now-NBC10-News-Live-269223181.htmlAlso, it's crazy how many birds are out in this, they are just looking for places to hide, because the trees are fully covered and are starting to lean over from all the weight. It's hilarious, I've seen maybe 3 vehicles all day, and the majority are normally illegal on the roads, the first one I saw was a redneck on a four wheeler with a giant jerry can coming back from Wawa. Now I just hear Snowmobiles going back and forth up the road. Prolly getting gas from Wawa as well. Wawa is probably actually the only thing open right now, because they are funded by Fema to stay open in severe weather. Normally these guys aren't out until night time, when the cops can't see them. But today, the roads are so completely impassible, the cops can't chase them, because even cops are getting stuck, even in the 4 wheel drive SUVs. I just saw a truck with a plow almost get stuck in front of the house I mostly can't see out my bedroom windows because they are all covered in snow and ice. New Jersey is starting to look like what it did during Sandy with all the flood water, mixing with iceburgs. It is full Blizzard conditions right now.

Latest predictions for northern Montgomery and Lehigh area, 23-30+ inches.
Word is all roads will be closed at 2pm in New York City, they are supposed to get similar numbers to us ever since the track of the storm turned slightly north.
Just watched a liveshot from Allentown, remember the Crying Wolf fight from MGS4? Yeah. Like that out there.
Looks like the people going to Montco won't have the first month of their semester, as usual. They seriously need to bump their spring semester up a month and start it at the end of february and end it in June. It's pretty much what they have to do anyway right now.

In other news, this dude is trying to plow Dylan and Justin's driveway, and is really having trouble, hah a ha
It looks like his truck doesn't have 4 wheel drive, he keeps getting stuck. He's pushing all of the snow into the road too, which I think is illegal. Not like you can tell, at this point it's a 1 lane road either way.
But the snow he carved out, you can see just how insanely deep it is out there, I would guess it's at least waist deep for me out there, and we still have a good couple of hours of this left.
I really hope I can get my car out on Monday, it's probably legitimately buried, and definitely will be when the landlord comes through the plow.

Yeah, I saw that little window over Philly in the radar for an hour or so
It's been non-stop, super intense since this morning, it's been really heavy for the last two hours, probably heavier than I've ever seen.
It's getting dark now, and the wind is really blowing now.

Holy crap is it bright this morning!
Bright, clear sky combined with like.....well, I haven't really seen the damage yet, but a LOT of snow, makes it so you can't really look outside without being blinded, ha ha
