....Oh god.
I'm digging out my car. Or more appropriately, unburying it.
Literally the front half of my car when I first got out there was 100% submerged. There was like 3 feet of snow on top of my car
Remember the trenches from Hoth? We have those just to get around. The trenches are at least chest high on either side.
I just spent an hour and a half digging out my car, and I'm less than half done.
Best part, the plow hasn't even come through yet. The land lord said he's getting a bulldozer (no joke) to clear the snow, because his truck just can't handle it all. For real. So I'm gonna have to dig out the back of the car twice. Because if I don't, it'll be impossible for days.
The front of the driveway is legit blocked, and the area where we drive out is almost waist deep snow, and it gets deeper as you go up the driveway all the way to the back.
Phil is trying to use a snow blower. It's too deep for the snow blower. The road is clear, but walking to Wawa is now impossible due to the 5-ish foot high snow banks on either side of the road.
Once the bulldozer comes through though, we could probably build a snow mansion into it. The pile will probably be 10-12 feet high and take up the entire back yard
I'll take some pictures when it's all done.

Awwww
Well, if the landlord ever shows up, I would be able to, we have a 4 foot high snow bank blocking our driveway, and 3 feet of snow all the way up, and another 5 foot bank in front of and behind the cars. Nothing gets in or out until he comes and moves all that snow to the backyard.
What you do is you pack down the giant mound and turn it into a fort, you pack the top flat until you can stand on it, that way it packs down the rest of the pile so that it has integrity. Plus if you are cool like us, you dig out stairs and build a lookout perch on the roof. Then you dig into the bottom of the pile and dig a tunnel through it, then expand the tunnel until you can sit in it. That way you have two exits if something goes wrong
You should see the mounds they make at Wal Mart, they are like 20 feet high after storms like this, because they move all the snow to the area between rows of parking spots, it's crazy.
Also, screw pictures, my foot hurts and I'm tired. We just dug out my car, and the neighbors cars, and I dug a poo trench for the dog to go to his place in the yard. The sun is down and the temp is starting to drop, so everything is starting to freeze. I can't dig out the front stairs, the snow is just too deep to move, and the snow bank from plowing is rock solid, and isn't going anywhere. The only thing moving that is a bulldozer or a backhoe.
You can't cut across to get anywhere, the only way to get anywhere is through the trenches. Walking through the snow is basically impossible. For you, it definitely would be. Though you are super light, so you probably sink into the snow a lot less than I do. Either way, the snow is so fluffy that you'd still probably sink to above your waist.
One day, we'll play in the snow together :nigga:

Ugh, I hate my landlord
He plowed the driveway. Barely. Theres this tiny little path, and didn't do the whole driveway. He better be going to get a bigger machine, otherwise everyone is still trapped.
I have to go to OVR tomorrow, my brother and the neighbors have to go to work
Absolute garbage.

So OVR was closed due to the snow today, like I predicted it would be
Being rescheduled for a record 4th time.
Haven't looked outside to see current conditions yet, right now it's above freezing, so some melting should be taking place.
Did you just wake up?

So theres no going anywhere today anyway
My already hard to see out of driveway is absolutely impossible to see out of, so I can't pull out at all. And I almost got stuck at the bottom of the driveway because of how slick it still is, and how little my car likes snow.
And because of the 4 foot high drifts on either side of the road that go right up to the white line which make it impossible to pull out, it's also impossible to walk without walking directly in the road and getting hit by a car.
My mom had to direct traffic to get my brother out of the driveway for work this morning. It's really insane.
In other news, Phil has had enough of the snow, and now has a flamethrower. Like....seriously. I don't know how he got it, but he was using a flamethrower to melt the ice in his driveway so he could smash it up and move it. I've never seen anything like it, it was awesome, ha ha ha ha

Getting to the post office is SUPER hard.
The sides of the road are still blocked, but I planned a route that could still get me there
SOME of the sidewalks are plowed, but just enough of them aren't that it's super annoying. And I am exhausted from trudging through above knee high snow.
It's supposed to rain tonight I think it's 45 degrees out there right now. Hopefully that will knock it back a bit so it's more managable tomorrow.
