By the way, now we lead in medals.
That'll teach China to throw Badmitton matches.

Thats actually pretty cool.
Like Solid Snake and Grey Fox cool.
I saw some Table Tennis the other night, suprise suprise, China vs China.
It's facinating how ONLY asian people are good at a british sport.
Now all we have is Track and Field. I wanna see what Olympic level Taekwondo looks like.

Oh wow.....
You know how NBC always talks about the favorite of each event and tells their heartwarming story? THey just did that for the guy whos running the 3000m Steeplechase, the favorite is a Kenyan (suprise suprise) who just got out on bail for stabbing his girlfriend back in Kenya before coming to train in London. And just now they were talking about a french competitor who has TWICE attacked sports, and RIGHT NOW, some guy just tripped and no one helped him, and I THINK someone kicked him to make him trip. I'm convinced this Steeple Chase sport is the sport of terrible criminals, just look it up, it's so weird.

You know, why do they interview the stupid American Girl's Gymnasts so much? Seriously, it's EXTREMELY obvious that not only are they reading a teleprompter in very monotone voices, all of them are reading stuff written by the same poor writer, probably their coach. It's mindnumbing.

I was thinking about the PD Olympic delegation as far as all the different nations represented, and I came up with some interesting facts. Like for example, we have at least one representitive from every inhabited contenent on earth. We also know a lot of languages, I think for sure PD speaks a minimum of 5 different languages, though I think there once was a korean speaker on PD, and I think I remember either The Editor or Dragoniteady spoke German. Or was it Trannel, I dunno.
As I was thiniing about it though, I realized there were very few representitives from mainland Eurasia, I could only think of 2 for sure.
I'm still trying to figure out how many individual states are represented in the US. Pennsylvaina obviously has the largest delegation. Overall it seems like if a state is represented, it's represented pretty well though for the most part. Most states seem to have at least 3 representitives.

So on the FINAL night of competition, they finally show something worth watching.
I just watched the finals for Wrestling, in 3 different weight classes, and Javalin throwing.
I noticed americans suck at wrestling compared to the rest of the world, particularly all those former soviet nations and middle easterners, I saw this dude from Azerbijan who was about my size just throw this russian dude who was supposed to be one of the best in the world. He absolutely DEMOLISHED this guy, it was awesome. The Americans are FAR too catious, they spend most of the match just lightly grappling and pushing and biding time, while these other guys just straight up go at it.
Is there anything left tommarow? If not, I think we won. Did Britian get third? I didn't notice, I just know China is in second now

Wow, I said it earlier and I'll say it again, American wrestlers suck. Ajerbijan are crazy good, and this cuban guy just came out of nowhere and blasted this guy and got a legit takedown and pinfall on him. All american wrestlers do is end matches in ties by doing next to nothing to whole match and win the tiebreakers and like, win by 1 point when they do win. Everyone else just absolutely go at it and dominate each other, and win by huge scores or pinfalls.
Also...rhythmic Gymnastics.....what the hell is that....? So weird.

So the closing ceremonies are tonight
I think this might have been my favorite olympics, partially because it was one I was most aware of, but also I just like London, so it had a great venue, and I got to see british stuff for two weeks straight, which was awesome.
I didn't like Beijing as much, though I kinda liked Athens. Before that I was less aware of it, though I remember it, like I remember the Atlanta Olympics happening in '96, because of Team Chereos. I just don't remember the sports themselves though. I also remember Nagano Winter Olympics happening, since it was on TV a lot, and I remember the ski jumping from that one and thinking it was cool.
I'm interested in seeing what the closing will be like, if it's anywhere as cool as the opening was.

I think I'm the only person in the world who hasn't seen the opening ceremony for the 2008 Olympics.

I dunno, I thought it was kinda boring compared to London's, I thought London's had some cool stuff, like that giant city thing and the rings, I thought that was so much cooler. I figured you'd like London's because it was McCartney
Awww, well, dispite what Tim says, I don't think you missed anything too great. It was OK and all, I just thought it was a little abstract.
It's stuff like this that makes me forget for a little while how terrible people are and why I hate humanity. Like all the people walking in together, not by country. The whole world gathered in one place, and for once, they aren't trying to kill each other. It's nice.

Oh god, the Spice girls.....
They are the gift that no one asked for, and that no one wants, that you just keep getting back. You wanna know what I really really want? I want the Spice girls to go away and to never come back. I mean I really REALLY want them to die in a firey plane crash, but just perminant retirement and seclusion from the rest of the world would suffice.
And the guy in that band that came after is what I picture Hicky looking like now, with that ridiculous british haircut and skinny all black clothes.

So I watched to the very end. Wow.
So overall I think these are my favorite olymics as far as events go, because Michael Phaggot seemed like less of a big deal, plus I went out of my way to watch other stuff
I liked this one event I watched, where the kid from Grenada won the first medal ever for that country and it was a gold. They showed everything he did and all that, he really seemed like a legit good guy, a real class act. He raced against the guy with no legs and he like, congratulated him after the race and stuff, it was really cool. And he was like the hero of his entire country even before winning the gold, and they showed like, his whole country celebrating, it's just crazy. People who take that sportsmanship stuff seriously and conduct themselves like professionals and actually respect their opponents are the best.
The closing ceremony sucked compared to the opening, and compared to everything else. But as I mentioned previously, those brits REALLY know how to do fireworks, like, if you showed them a small firework, they wouldn't know what to do with it. I just wonder what those people from the really small nations and the censored ones like North Korea thought of that ceremony, like "this is what so-called civilized people listen to!?"
How fun. Good Old Olympics.
