The Colorado is our squiggly border. Yeah, I guess. I hope that if I get a job that it'll be at my school anyway since I don't have a car and all. Hahaha I know that some pre-built laptops have buttons that change the color or the rate of flashes, so I would love to figure out how those work. Awww, I hope it gets better. Nothing worse that a joint pain. In other news, I don't know if this being covered nationally, but that big fire I talked about the our day? It's still burning. After a week and a half, there is still very little containment because mother nature decided to have a very windy two weeks, and among the big fire, people are deciding that it'll be fun to be arsonists for the day and there was one report of somebody burning some buildings in Flagstaff and a historic lodge was burned down. AND the fire is heading towards New Mexico and don't see to be slowing down. I think close to 5 whole towns have been evacuated, over 2,000 firefighters are on the scene trying to stop it, and Albuquerque is freaking out because the fire's getting close to their power source. This fire has gone from our 4th largest, to now our 2nd largest, and it'll soon be our largest fire ever in recorded history. It's so big that NASA can see it from space. My whole state's on fire what the hell. D: We have fires every year, but none this ridiculous. It even has a wikipedia page! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallow_Fire

Ohhhh, so like the Delaware River here, which is the border between us and....New Jersey? Sounds confusing, but thats how it is.
Like literally working at the school? I think janitor work would be worse than just moving around some boxes, at least the boxes don't have crap, vomit, or old garbage in them, ha ha ha
Yeah! Me too! I'd love to have a computer I could change the color on any day I want. I'd have the coolest looking computer ever.
Yeah, I agree.
Oh yeah, I saw that on the news earlier, actually while I was talking to you oddly enough about Brotherhood, ha a ha ha. How close is that to you? It looks like it's at the edge of the state. And woah, thats crazy! I hope your school doesn't get burned down! That'd suck!
Oh yeah, all that stuff was on the news tonight, like how it's approaching the big nuclear power plant thats gonna cause all these power outages all thoughout Texas and New Mexico and stuff, and I saw some of the footage, it looks like outer space out there!
Jeez, thats some insane stuff, thats scary. We actually have heat coming from that drought coming this way right now, it was almost 100 degrees today, and is gonna be again tommarow. It's ridiculous and super humid.

When does an eastern state not have a river for a border? Hahaha
Not just janitorial work, you can work in one of the 27 restaurants, be an orientation leader (essentially organize events), and do other stuff. The Gamestop is probably close enough for me to work there if I so choose to, it's about a 20 minute walk.
It's close to a hundred miles away, but it's still crazy. The one in Flagstaff was put out, and my school has a pretty low crime rate, so I don't think any students will do anything, probably the crazy Asians living in the town maybe.
That's what NM and TX look like, silly. xD
Yeah, it's super hot here too, I wanna go back up the mountain to cool off. But then I'll be in the wake of the fire...

PA and New York? Actually I think we and NJ are pretty much the only ones that I can immedately think of, ha ha ha ha
Oh right! I thought you meant at the actual school. And like I told Eve, you need to be a fat, tasteless cretin to work at Gamestop, so you'll never make the cut there.
Oh riiiiiight, good! I'm glad to hear that. And ha ha ha ha ha, How is there room for asians, if they have asians, then where will they put the Mexicans? Ha ha h aha. Are they like the Gran Torino asians, I'd love to go there and be old and make fun of them like that old dude.
AH HA HA H HAA, Well I didn't know that! How interesting! I just figured because the sky was yellow and all that, or is the sky always yellow? It looks blue in King of the Hill...
I dunno, I like it, I mean it is indeed hot even by my standards, but it still doesn't bother me too much, compared to other people who were like, freaking out, ha ha hah a.

Not true, my local Gamestop has three rather normal weight women working there who are nice and help me find stuff, plus two guys that are kinda nerdy but I have great conversations with them about new games and upcoming games.
All I know is that my parents were staying at a hotel up there last week, and the asians running the hotel were freaking out that my dad and I were staying for one night, and my mom for two nights because they couldn't grasp their heads around the fact that we were separating the next morning so my parents had to explain to them the situation and the whole time they wouldn't stop staring at me like they were psychos.
Yellow? That must have been dust, the winds have been strong this week, like a constant 50 mph.
Ugh, heat. I can tolerate it but I'd rather be cold.

Really? I find that facinating. I have no one at any of the Gamestops around here that I like, they are all either cookie cutter douchebags with the exact same taste (or lack there of) in games, that all mostly look and sound the same, or weird awkward fat goth girls who couldn't get a job anywhere else that know absolutely nothing about games whatsoever. There was this one girl, she was totally unbareable, she would automatically trash any game we bought because her "boyfriend" didn't like them. This girl was straight up insufferable, I highly doubt she had a boyfriend, or any friends at all. It's a good thing there are games at Gamestop, theres no other redeeming quality about the place.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha, ah yes, that breed of asian. Ha ha ha ha ha. How hard is that to really understand!? Ha ha ha, and yeah, they probably were psychos.
Yeah, between the dust and the smoke it looked like the surface of Titan out there, it was crazy looking. You'd think the dust would choke out the fires
Well if you think about it, most of the time during the summer one is cold, because they are indoors with the AC on. Most people spend less time outside than they do inside, especially people like us, so that means you probably spend more of your time cold during the summer than you do being hot. I like summer because it's easier to make my house cold than it is to make it warm, so we suffer during the winter months. Plus, summer is just nicer.

Wow, the only weird person I've ever seen working at a Gamestop was this grizzly man around 4 years with a long beard and dopey eyes who never really said much words, but would grumble and saunter about and would only say "good game" or "I haven't played this" when I brought stuff to the counter.
My parents don't run the AC that much, just enough to keep the house from exceeding 90 degrees which is why I'm hesitant to turn on my PS3 during the day. It still feels hot in here, believe me.

He was probably just trying to stay cool because his box wasn't air conditioned. I wish a hobo worked at one of our Gamestops! ARGH! I hate buying games from people who probably don't even know what a Sega Genesis is, and have never played anything with sprites on a console! Freakin Kids! *hits with car* (I bet they wouldn't even get that Tony Hawk reference!)
UGH! Why are your parents so cheap, and yet so terrible with money! YOU NEED AC IN THE DESERT! YOU DON'T NEED A 60 INCH TV!
....Well, you kinda need both, but still!! My point is still valid. I'd say get your own AC for your room, but your moving in a few months, so whats the point. Although it would be nice to stay cool when you visit home during holidays.

You should got there and ask them to find Battletoads for you and when they can't find it, you insist that it's a new game and have them waste their time. xD
We actually have two 60 inch TVs, but that's besides the point. I actually turn up the AC when my parent's are working and turn it off when they get home, it's just that my mom has a flexible schedule so sometimes it's hard to time the turn off right.

HA HA HA HA HA HA H AH HA HA, I'm definately gonna try that, come up with some ridiculous older game title, and have them look for it.
Jesus, thats insane! Why bother turning off the AC, those things probably need a baseball stadium worth of electricity to power! They obviously don't know anything about being cheap, so whats the point in trying? You might as well keep them on 24/7, we keep one on 24/7 and turn on the other in the daytime. It's always nice and cool in here.

I just wish you could survive in comfort though!
AWEEEEEEEESOME!! I just wish they aired on TV. Also, KB has some hilarious twitter stuff, as much as I hate twitter and all, but he said it himself "Well, I just made a Twitter page, I think this whole Twitter thing finally has a chance now." Apparently he has an official sandwich named after him too. More of him on TV!! WE NEED YOU KEVIN!!
Also, ahhh, I just did a somewhat sad part of Infamous 1, I don't wanna tell you what happens, but ahhh.

Yeah, and there was the time when Gameinformer had a poll if Kevin Butler or Chuck Norris would win in a fight and KB replied with, "Our mom taught us not to fight." Hahahaha There are were rumors that he wouldn't be in CMs ever again because of this scandal though if it's true, I find that joke to be hilarious even if Sony thinks it's bad. I guess that's another reason not to get a twitter... Man, I really should play that game again. I don't think I've touched it since 2009. xD

HA HA HA H AHA, but you know if it came down to it, Butler's Move Lightsaber would be victorious, not that he'd need it for an old fake cowboy/fake martial artist.
I heard that was false and just a joke, since that code can't hurt anyone anyway, and thats why he did it. Who knows though. I doubt it if that commecial exists. And yeah, I agree. And besides, he started Bacon wars! Whats a small useless rootkey code?
Yeah, it's quite good. Quite good indeed.

KB was just playing battleship. :3
Yeah, I really playing the demo at Gamestop and find it awesome so I bought it about a month later and played it for a couple of weeks and got stuck somewhere and didn't pick it up again. xP
And today, on the final coverage of E3, G4 got to show a demo of Journey, and it looks amazing! The sand physics were great, the music was soothing as always, and the graphics were cell-shaded gorgeousness. The person from thatgamecompany was funnily enough describing the multiplayer aspect and how it was random in nature, when suddenly a person popped up on the screen and joined in with the demo, and they never knew if it was someone from the tgc office or the E3 building because the game doesn't support mics, which I think is better for this type of game. It was cool because the two ended up working together to cross the desert just by using visual keys and gestures. I want Journey really really really bad, and I have enough money in my PSN wallet to buy it, I just have to have self-control over buying anything else for a while. Thatgamecompany said that the game will be out within the year.

Ha ha ha h, yeaaaaah, and then he may or may not have been at a certain compound in Pakistan according to him as well. He's got military skills dispite what his mother told him
Jeez, was that paragraph translated from Japanese? Ha ha ha ha ha. But yeah, based on the look of your trophy collection, your about as far as I was at the begining of yesterday. I've only got stuck once or twice, but never for too long. I'm sure you could figure it out with fresh eyes.
AHHHHHH, JOURNEY! The game missing from the Sony Press Conference! That sounds incredible! Hah a ha ha, wow, thats kinda facinating. I kinda just wish we could play it together knowingly, like meet up somehow in some way that we could identify each other, that'd be nice. But yeaaaah, you just have to learn how to control yourself, it's easy if you just focus on saving up as much as possible.
We'll see, it might be on the list right around the wrung Dark Souls is on, I'll try it if I can find a good reason, since I know we can't play together.

That might be true because in the S.O.C.O.M. 4 commercial it shows KB being a part of a squad. Hahaha, god my grammar just fails sometimes. Most likely, I remember getting a lot of cheap deaths though. Journey has an incredible ambiance to it. I really wish it was out right now. Ahahaha, that "must buy" rant was a note to myself. I was being silly. :3

HA ha ha ha ha h ha, I don't remember that one, I'll have to look it up!
Were you tired again, I do that when I get tired, I usually even make shorter posts when I'm tired because I want to reduce the risk of drifting off and posting big posts in my own little grammerless language, ha ha ha ha. And yeaaaaah, that happens alot particularly on the train missions, or in anything you have to defend a vehicle, they start acting reaaaaaal cheap. Like sometimes I think there are bullets literally coming out of nowhere.
Yeaaah I agree. I hope theres like, somewhere to get to, like the Journey leads to something.
Awwww, I know, I know what you mean. I need to actually figure out my direct priorities right now gamewise for this huge fall and holiday season. Is Journey a 2011 release?

No, I think it was after I ate supper though. Hahahaha Yeah, those cunning, cheap reapers or whatever they're called. It's been a while.
When you first start up the game, the first thing you see is this giant mountain, and without dialogue or narrative, you just know to go there by it's symbolism of being nearly the only thing in the horizon. It's actually pretty cool.
Yes, I'm 98% sure Journey's coming out in 2011.

Ha ha ha ha h ha ha, you never know, it could have made you temporarily tired! Or something! Ha ha h ah ha.
Ohhhh, your still on the Reapers, wait until you meet the Dust Men, now THEY are annoying. They own an awful lot of rocket launchers for a group of transients.....
Yeah I remember that from the trailer, I just hope theres more to it than that, like you discover something cool at the mountain that leads you to something else, or something like that. I highly doubt thatgamecompany will disappoint though, seeing what they could do with flowers.
Indeeeeeed. We're so jaded by game developers anymore, they always disappoint us with release dates, so we never seem to trust their word anymore, it's kinda sad really.

Post by pichubro on Jun 10, 2011 1:26:47 GMT -5
Hahaha maybe.
Oh yeah, I've clean up half the town of the Dust Men, I just couldn't remember the name. xP
thatgamecompany makes really good games, so I don't think they're going to disappoint us.
Well, there are a lot of factors about delays, it could be a console change, budget cuts, team change, natural disasters, power outages, overlying projects, not a big enough team... it's not that they want delays, many times they can't help it. I never feel jaded or lied to about delays unless the finished product feels like it still needed work done to it, like I'm sure (for example) Ueda is just making sure that EVERYTHING is perfect in his games, and the TLG would probably be out by now if he wasn't also working on the Collection, he just had his hands full this past year or so.
Hell, there's even a guy who pre-ordered Duke Nukem 10 years ago and his pre-order is still considered valid by Gamestop even though there wasn't a Gamestop back then; so long as he can show them his receipt, which I'm pretty sure the report said he still had.

Have you met both forms of their Conduits yet? One is kind of annoying, one is just insanely powerful. You'll know him when you see him.
Yeah, of course not! They are venturing into new territory with a game that actually has a character in it, but still, they can tell a story with nothing, so one with a character should be that much more expressive.
Yeah, beileve me, I know. You've got a group of artist, AKA natural procrastinators, and a million crazy factors to take into consideration, plus everything you mentioned. It's like getting dozens of people to paint the same painting at the same time. But unlike paintings, leaving a game unfinished is exponentially more costly to all parties involved. And to top that all off, your boss is almost always crazy in some way, Ueda is a perfectionist, Kojima is all kinds of messed up, You know The Shig is a little out there, And Satoshi Taijiri is a bit Krabby. And yeah, you know thats true. He probably spent like, 4 months just on the guards or something. On top of all that other work.
How do you put a pre order down on a game that like, wasn't even really announced until a few years ago? And how much did he pay, like $20? I don't like the Duke Nukem games. They were nothing but shock value games, there was nothing exactly "good" or different about them at all. It was Doom with boobs, and less scaryness.

It's been too long, I can't remember. A character made entirely of cloth, but a character nonetheless! Jeez, making a game is hard. Hahahaha Maybe in this sense, indie companies have it better. Besides the having-no-money part. There were game stores way back when that also did pre-orders, and Gamestop said that they will honor any and all legitimate pre-order recipients (even from companies that don't exist any more), so I find that quite generous of them. I've played the the first Duke Nukem game when I was a kid and rather enjoyed it.

Awwwwww
YES! INDEEEED. They saw how well it worked for Sackboy I guess
It kinda is in some ways. I enjoy the chaos though, cause like all before mentioned lead designers, I'm a little crazy, haha ha h ha. Well yeah, now the big advantage comes from cruising under the radar with a little company. you get paid next to nothing, until you release the next Angry Birds or Littlebig Planet, both done by super tiny teams, now making millions. Bigger companies tend to use methods that stifle creativity it seems.
Well I mean not just that, how did they place a pre order on a game that didn't exist yet? And at the time it's amusing, but then you think back and wonder "What did it do that 300 million other games in that era also didn't do?" It was horribly generic even by FPS standards.
