"Oh look there, and you passed on the first try too! Well done!"
Thats what I got from the old lady who took my licence picture. Probably the most pleasent person I've ever encountered at the DMV, ha ha ha ha ha.

Hahaha awww All they said to me was "Did you get a perfect score like everyone else today?" I guess the instructor didn't even care to deduct points from anyone.

HA HA HA HA HA, Sounds very sarcastic, I guess they knew the reputation of the examiner or something. Still though, that is pretty funny. I don't think I technically lost any points, he knitpicked my performance where he could, since I didn't technically put it into Park during my absolutely otherwise flawless Parallel park, and I waited a little too long on my pull in back into the driving center, but he would have complained more had I gotten into an accident I'm sure. So I don't see how he can complain about me being extra safe. Either way, I don't think I technically lost any points this time.

So 2 weeks ago I was a Licenced Driver. Today I am a Licenced, Registered, and Insured Driver. All I need to do now is become an inspected driver and I'll be legal to drive :nigga:
Now to go install my licence plate and fancy windshield wipers.

So I just did all this stuff, got my licence, got register, bought moderately expensive insurance, installed my shiney new licence plate, and......
....now my battery is dead.
I've got someone going to get me a temporary battery, so I can get to the gas station and all that, and test my brakes before class tommarow.
And my inspection schedule is a mess. Yesterday I walked to a place and scheduled an appointment, and this morning my mom called some other place and scheduled me for tommarow, you know, when classes start, I'd rather miss a tuesday long after both of my first classes rather than miss my very first day back. I told her not to, but she did it anyway.

So yeah, now I'm in a pretty terrible situation.
I just got back from 5 hours of hell on earth.
It began with driving to the Volvo specialist in the rain with no windshield wipers, because the guy who tried to fix my wiper blade apparently instead made it significantly worse. So I get there and bring the car in, and I sit for 2 hours in the mechanic's office waiting. I was expecting to pay for Brakes and maybe a new Catylitic converter, and apparently a new wiper arm as we quickly discovered. So he finally comes out 2 hours later and tells me to come into the shop. And he starts with "OK, so this car has some major problems...."
I pretty much knew it was gonna be pretty bad. $700, maybe $800?
He goes around the car in detail showing me tons of pretty significant problems, from the things that pretty much hold the springs for the shocks in place, to shot brake lines, to a pretty substansial oil leak, to a major air pressure problem, and so on and so on and so on, to the point that JUST to make the car even legal to drive safely, it's gonna cost close to how much I paid for it. Then theres the repairs to fix it, which on top of all that other stuff will be just ridiculous, and more than what I paid to buy the car.
So now, I don't know what I'm gonna do, I think at this point I'm gonna have to find a way to fix this car, because I can't afford to buy a new one, it will cost the same to just fix this one. Plus this one JUST got done being registered and insured, I really don't want to have to go through this again. But I don't know how I can afford to do that either. Either way, I'm pretty screwed about how I'm getting to school tommarow anyway, since my uninsured grace period is finished.
Oh yeah, and the other major kick in the face today, I drive to school after getting that drive-by colonoscopy to find out classes are canceled anyway. Wonderful......

2 things down.....like, 37 to go.
Me, Dylan, and Justin just did some of the easier work on my car. What would have been around 20 dollars just in labor just became a 10 dollar job. We mounted the battery properly, and fitted new Licence plate bulbs, the two easiest jobs of the list. ANd I got the cleanest Licence plate light bulb glass this side of Gothenburg. Next comes the brake work, which will require a little more experence, but in the vast spectrum of things that are wrong, it will be cake compared to the lower engine mount and the intake and oil leaks.
God this sucks...

A loan from who? If it's a regular bank loan, I probably can't because of SSI.
I'm hoping my Fianancial Aid refund comes soon, that would probably cover pretty close to all of it. I don't know when that comes in, and it's contingant on me actually being able to show up, so that will be tough.

So you know what I wanna do once I have my car totally fixed?
Get some Wipeout Fury mods done to my car. And not like the cool floating stuff or a glowy livery. No, I want Rockets and Plasma cannons on my car, And you know how I'd activate them? My horn.
I swear, some people out there must write suicide notes before they leave the house, because they want to get killed on the road. There was this biker guy, old looking, dressed like Lance, riding along side the road thinking he's gonna go win the Tour De France pedeling along side the road. I'm driving right behind him in traffic. A tiny gap forms between me and the next car, and what does he do? He looks back, right at me, and starts pedaling faster (mind you, we're going 35 MPH) and darts out across the road RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, Absolutely no reguard for his own life. There couldn't have been more than 3 feet between me and him, he didn't signal, like he's supposed to, just went. Naturally I blow my horn at him and start screaming at him, he doesn't even look back, the prick.
Now if this were in my perfect world, right when I hit the horn, a bunch of rockets would have been deployed from the grille and I would have blasted him into dust. Yeah, ride for your health you smug little bastard. I wish I had mowed him down.
And no one knows how to drive either, right after that, some guy in a giant truck drove over a median and cut through traffic and also tried to cut me off. Naturally, I floored it and yelled at him too, since I was already pretty mad.
Then this old granny woman in her granny van held up traffic on the way back, driving at 35 down a hill with a speed limit of 55. This is about when I started thinking up my rocket silo design.

UGH, I'M SO MAD RIGHT NOW
It makes no sense anymore. This car just doesn't make sense anymore. NOW, on top of everything else, my oil light keeps coming on, as if I'm out of oil, BUT I checked my oil and it's full, and all these other weird things are happening. I'm so frustrated. I wish any of this was easy or made sense or something. I wish I had money to fix this, I have no idea of what to do.

UGH! So now, on top of everything else this week, now the brake work I was having done yesterday and today has encountered a hitch, and it's gonna cost more than I had budgeted for the job. So I'm gonna have to scrape together everything I have to pay for it, because the caliper is shot, so it can't be used with the new equipment, so I either have the choice of paying for the repairs, or paying for the extra labor it would take to remove all the new parts and putting all the broken old pieces back on.
God, this car won't let me save up for anything, will it? :niggasad:

So last night you asked about my suggestions for you for a new car around $20,000 Well, I did some research on things that I thought might be a good fit for you, stuff I could picture you driving I started with what you have now, the Chevy Cavalier. And say what you will about it, but it's not the worst car ever, it's hard to kill, a few staples and some bubblegum, and it's fixed, the american way. So if you know the history of Chevy compact family cars, they've never really made a terrible one, at least nothing horrible. The Cobalt was the car that replaced yours in 2002, and the SS model of that car was insane. A very solid vehicle. Well, in 2010, it was replaced again by this: The Chevy Cruize. From what I've heard, it's not a terrible car. American cars are starting to come back again, between 2001 and 2009 they were absolutely mediocre at best, they produced nothing worth while here. But since the return of the Camaro, we've seen a resurgence of alright stuff coming out of America. And the Cruize feels like a car I could picture you driving. As for it's stats, it's got a 138 HP Eco tec engine, so it's good on gas, even if it isn't exactly a speed demon, but I feel thats a better choice for you. Safer and more efficent. It claims to get about 36 to the gallon, so thats pretty good, but one should expect a little less. It definately fits into your price range flawlessly though, with a 6 speed automatic transmission it's quoted to be about $18,060 plus tax and such. As an alternative suggestion, and I know your not a fan of Ford, but I know your a fan of Chrome on your cars, I remember you telling me that ages ago. Here is Ford's answer to the Cruize: The Ford Fusion. It's a bit more expensive. It with the same features as the Cruize costs around $21,640. Still within your reletive price range, but more than the Cruize by a lot. But the Fusion comes with alloy wheels, and more chrome than Flava Flav's favorite clock. Other than that though, they are basically the same But for you, I'd personally go with the Cruize, simple, cheap, and efficient.

Indeed. And I saw a Cruize in traffic today, it had it's fair share of chrome, it just has more on the back.
Always :nigga:
I'll give you more if you'd like, or if you need any more research, let me know

So I just had my first psudo car accident.
So I was at the intersection in skippack near the Mercades mechanic, the bank, and the Wawa, and I stopped at the light, I feel a BOOM behind me, this chick in a big Ford Tarus bumped into me, hard, she didn't stop in time for the light and rammed into me. I FLIPPED out. I was screaming at them so much from my car right after it happened. I was like turned back looking at them screaming shaking my fist, and she had this like, look of absolute terror on her face. So we pull into the bank lot. I noticed on the way there that the car felt reletively normal, so nothing was immediately apparent to be wrong. I swung my car half way into a spot and threw off my seatbelt and threw the door open. It turned out to be this tiny little girl, probably 20 or less. She was just like freaking out saying how sorry she was and offering to hug me...which was kinda weird. I was shaking, but not as mad as before though, because when I saw the bumper, it looked entirely normal. I looked everything over and everything looked completely undamaged. She was still pretty upset, and I checked her car, and other than a bent up front bumper, which she said was bent before, can't imagine why, no damage, so I just said whatever to it. She was more than happy about this, and was gone by the time I was back in my car. I should have probably got her info just in case though, whatever. My back is a teeny bit sore, but I'm limited tort, and my car is illegal, so nothing I can really do there.
Long and short of it, I love my Volvo. :nigga:
It got crashed into and hurt the car that hit it worse than it was hurt. That right there is true vehicular badassery.

Yeah, that's what happens when you don't drive a car made out of plastic. xD
I've "crashed" twice myself.

Suprisingly though, for being hit by a car, I don't feel like I was hit by a car, ha ha ha ha
I've had worse days with my back, which I more closely equated to what being hit by a car feels like.
So what happened in your psudo accidents?

My parents thought that I could back up into the driveway with only 3 inches of error between my brother's car and the basketball hoop.
First time was the hoop, second time was my brother's car.
I probably would've done better if I had a rearview mirror.

I have one, it's just that my back window is so dark and bubbly that I can't see through it. I've learned to drive with just my side mirrors.
