Whattttt? His new album is good?
I mean that one line is good, but that one single I heard where he samples King Crimson sucked so much. Not only because the sample was totally pointless just to degridate the value of 21st Centry Scitzoid Man even more than Guitar Hero could, but because it was just a hard to listen to song. Bleh, it sucked.

that song was great you're crazy.
after listening to the whole album im inclined to say its the best album made since at least endtroducing in 1996

I couldn't stand it, It sounds like Kanyes attempt to sound like everyone else, he picks up that boring rhyme style used by everyone in the begining which sucks and sounds super southern, then he goes on to butcher actually good music in an attempt to get listened to. Maybe the other songs on the album are better and he just uses loops from good songs to make people listen to the album via the single. Who knows though.
Theres no way it's better than Endtroducing, I garentee it. There is just no possible way.

about power, the fact that the rapping isnt 'technically' up to his standards i think improves the song overall. on the whole album its the song that most embodies the image the media has painted of him as an arrogant, wild egomaniac. the orchestral, unorthodox production perfectly compliments it, the lyrics are basically stream of conscious boasting with a sense of abandon, the chorus in the background perfectly compliments his image as a grandiose showman who inflates his own image, the the 21st century sample, beside simply sounding awesome, adds to the track's surreal qualities, as well as making sense with his modern characterization. its the song that speaks the most to his media image, and it is in fact the 21st century and there were all those speculations about kanye's mental stability in the past years.
basically i think its a genius song

and its not even the best on the album!
also kanye's beats on this are OUT OF CONTROL.

I guess that makes sense, though sucking just to make a point has never made sense to me, ask Cartman and Butters. He could have just throttled the people he was trying to get at directly with some better lyrics. In this case it just makes him look like the dumb ignorant rapper they try to portray him as.
I guess I have a bias as well, since I'm a big fan of 21st Century Scizoid man, and now fags can be all like "Oh yeah, that kanye west song" and thats something I really hate. It should be recognised as it's own masterpiece, not some extention of someone else because they decided to use it in a song the mainstream cared about for like 5 minutes.
Does he still sing too, or was that just a one album thing.

he sort of combined rapping and singing sometimes, its really awesome. i think his shitty album helped him, not only to solidify him as a bodified crazy ass nigga up there with the best of em, but also because it changed his style up a little bit, so when he went back to his real thing, he now has a unique style which is really unlike anything done before.

I suppose so, I guess kinda like how Metal Gear solid 4 was combining the styles of 2 and 3, creating something new altogether. It's an interesting concept, but I have yet to be impressed with anything I've heard as of yet.

Two tracks in so far starting from the beginning. It's pretty damn tight, so far. I just like the fact that HE'S MOTHERFUCKING SPITTING ON THE MIC I mean come on. He always had a different approach and I like this one.
This is and will never be better then the legend that is Entroducing.
Now Lupe is next :nigga:

Whatever happened to Lupe, he was big for a minute then kinda disappeared
I guess the fact that Kanye is rapping is a step up. But still, not a fan of the single, probably never will be.

OK, the guys name sucks, the video sucks, his actual subject matter is questionable at best, but his rythem is good and the beat is good too. I like the sound of it if I ignore the actual lyrics. This song I heard a few days ago on Jimmy Fallon of all places, and I liked the vocalizing and percussion on this track. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QjvgWgHKCY

Watch the Throne is straight up ridiculous. This is what I was talking about this morning. It's like Jay Z and Kayne do something every couple of years to remind everyone that they are just ridiculous, then release a few albums to make money off of after that. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrVU--KSjMII love the opening lyrics, Ha ha ha hah, Kanye is amazing. Also, I love the beat, the Autotune on that vocal sample is awesome, not annoying like the autotune people use these days, it makes the girls voice into almost another instrument. It's got that Jazzy oldschoolness to it.

its very good. not as good as his last album but then again thats one of my favorite albums ever. i was just thinking if i had to list my 5 favorite 'popular' music acts ever(as in excluding jazz, classical etc) kanye would probably be in there.

I love the video, where they just destroy a $750,000 Maybach just because they are crazy and they can.
I love the line where Kanye is like "I made Jesus Walk, so I can't go to hell" or something like that. I love that they went back to the jazz beats for a lot of this album as opposed to all this electronic stuff you see now. I think Jay-Z has a pretty brilliant line in that one too. Something like "Lookin so fresh I'ma bout to call the Paparazzi on myself!" or something, I thought it was ridiculous and funny.
