They aren't embarassed, they just prefer to showcase good games, not filler crap.
The thing with Bloodstained is it's basically a Console version of Aria of Sorrow, without Soma. That being said, I do like the general design, the flow and rhythm are nice, and I like most of the sound design, I'm just hoping it does something to distinquish itself from Aria of Sorrow.
Meh. If it actually comes out, we'll see. Though I'll never get tired of that song. I love me some Yoko
It seems like the rest of this is anime crap.

Wow Nintendo.
In response to rumors of being able to choose Link's gender in the new game coming out as false, Eiji Aonuma said, "We thought about it and decided that if we're going to have a female protagonist, it's simpler to have Princess Zelda as the main character. If we have Princess Zelda as the main character who fights, what is Link going to do?"
Sounds like an excuse Nintendo. Like, god-forbid Link gets trapped by the villain and needs to be saved or is off fishing somewhere in bumfuck nowhere. Link has always been rather androgynous, I don't see why they couldn't make a female model with slight differences. Isn't the point of new games of a franchise to go back to the drawing board and think of new creative things to make it a fresh experience? Surely, you can make a reason why Link takes up a non-playable role. Surely.

In five seconds I've thought of
1. Link gets captured and needs saving 2. Link is an old mentor training young Zelda for adventuring 3. Link is stuck in wolf form/"Link" is an animal companion but not a Hylian mentally. 4. They can BOTH be playable.
Nintendo just doesn't want to do it is the reason.

WHy do you assume you know everything about a game that hasn't come out yet
Who is to say Zelda isn't playable at some point during the game?
Remember how they said Ellie wouldn't be playable before TLoU came out?

It just seems like an awkward answer. He could have been Naughty Dog about and had said "Didn't want to" and at least then it'd be like "Well, that's okay, it's Link, he's always been a boy." But the answer he gave is just nonsensical. Further in the same interview he said "The triforce is Link, Ganon and Zelda. If Link was a female it would break the balance."
Uhhhh... literally gibberish, what does gender have to do with it?

Yeah it was a bad answer, but it doesn't tell you anything about the game
This game is months, if not years from release. Let the game speak for itself.
