Also, if your playing FFVII right now, and are past the Battle for Sector 7, take the stairs. You'll know what I mean at the relevant time. Yes, I know what you're talking about. Good job 100%-ing your game though

No, I'm still in the sewers,I just know what you're talking about. And no, they typically skip dungeons, overworld, and some towns to cover dialogue bits only. Also, look how adorably tiny the PS4 is. i.imgur.com/9cyhRUj.pngPS4 Slim is gonna be even tinier!

Aww, indeed. You still have the Train Graveyard ahead! I love that place, awesome look and design.
OK, good. Though, that just means they stick to regular spoilers
Ha ha ha, awww!! And how is anyone gonna tell the Xbox 1 and Xbox Other One apart!? Both of theme are unreasonably huge. I guess they wanted to try being the oversized, overpriced system that gives it's competition a massive head start in sales. Except this time, Xbox Other One won't be catching and surpassing in sales of it's competitor, or ever being sold ever.
I'm interesting in seeing how it shapes up against the size of like, a PS2, and yeah, god, the slim will be like, Wii size, ha ha ha
Imagine if they made a Wii slim, ha ha ha
Has Nintendo ever done a slim console come to think of it? Their special consoles are usually special colors, not smaller. Never really thought of that before.

The DS Lite is technically the slim version of the first DS, just like how Gameboy Advance SP was for the GBA.

Well yeah, I just mean like, proper main consoles, because as far as I can think NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, and Wii only ever got special color models, never a slim. But then again in most cases they already were the smallest console, with the exception of SNES and N64.

I guess they only go slim with their "portable" consoles.

I remember when you first started Symphonia and you said that you didn't really think the character models were all that interesting, and I didn't really understand why you said that. But after playing FFVII and IX I understand what you meant, but then I got to thinking that Symphonia is not bad comparatively, just different. Symphonia was the first '3D' Tales game and they were used to using sprites and just carried over their experience from that using 3D models. At the same tie, you can argue that VII was the first 3D FF game and the characters did not act like sprites, but at the same time FF games had always the most expressive sprites in the industry besides fighting games and so it was a natural evolution. Tales games were more about the text than the character movements. Symphonia also was lucky enough to have really great voice actors to help give the characters emotions, even the older games used voice acting in battle scenes.
I think there is a certain charm with Symphonia's sprite-like movements, they kind of gave it a fairy-tale esque atmosphere. ^_^ Ironically, Symphonia 2 was the first Tales game to have dynamic animations, not that it was much of a saving grace. But with every game they get better at it.

Well what I think of it is, most companies think for some reason you had to pick one or the other, graphics or writing, gameplay mechanics or story. Symphonia decided to pick one over the other, while the FF games didn't compromise. They did everything, and very very well. And with Symphonia's voice acting, I don't think it always helped, sadly. Robin's voice actor was a good Robin....but an eh Lloyd. Perhaps it was the lines written for him, but even his reading of them sometimes didn't help.
Ha ha ha hah a, Microsoft just got kicked by a soon to be homeless man living in a Wii U box, that must have hurt. Good old Reggie, tellin it like it is "They will buy a game, play it, bring it back to their retailer to get credit for their next purchase. Certainly, that impacts games that are annualized and candidly also impacts games that are maybe undifferentiated much more than [it] impacts Nintendo content." So in other words, if Xbox wasn't just an FPS replicating machine, people might not trade in the games all the time, ha ha ha ha.
Surely they realize that it also hurts retailers to not be able to sell used games, right? Like, I feel like the real money for retailers is used games, not new ones. And why would you want to screw over the people who sell your games? What happens when Gamestop won't stock Xbox Other One? Then what?

That's because he does good drama like going against Slade or villians but he sounds goofy in more lovey-dovey scenes xD
"You sad about used games? Oh boo who!"
Gamestop has already come out and say that they are giving Sony's PS4 4 times more shelf space and pre-order numbers than the Xbone. Not like Microsoft supports them anyway. The Xbone will also work in only 21 countries at launch, and that is not even including Japan. Oy.

Ha ha ha ha, yeaaah, it's like "Well stop sucking so much!" Ha ha ha ha
Really? Wow. Turn about is fair play I guess, I mean the PS3 section was always smaller than the Xbox section last time I was there. Ha ha ha ha, good. And yeah, it's true. And whaaaaaaaat? Wow. That's just sad. Maybe they are intentionally trying to get out of the console business?

Because they were thinking of releasing their game on it but they might not now. It's wasted work for them. I mean, they still have a PS4 version, but now the Xbox side of their team is bascially going to be told "remember you guys writing code and doing all this stuff to port the PC version? Yeah... Go be support for the PS4 team, we'll throw away your work."
Sadly I think they wanted to release a PS3 version of Witcher 2 but it lacked the RAM xP

Well it seems like the PS4 architecture isn't as different from a PC version as it used to be really. I mean they had to have known about these features when they started development, did Microsoft really spring this on them after they were on their press conference already? God, console companies are such scum. It's a shame Consoles are so good for standardizing specs, otherwise it would be all about PC.

I doubt that though, since in developing for a console, you KNOW your game should work, since you know the specs of every machine it will be running on, since they will all be the same. Besides, as long as there are people who want to develop for consoles, there will be consoles.
The only bad thing is, consoles are trying more and more to differenciate themselves from PCs, so they end up tacking on stupid gimmicks.
I don't want to develop for PC, I hate controlling games with a keyboard. It's just awkward. Keyboards are for typing, not playing games. And since PCs will never have a standardized controller, you can't just build for a single controller the way you can for a console.
Besides, games that are doing the really innovative stuff like Watch Dogs are on console. Besides, online competitive stuff is always gonna require consoles. And good game computers cost a considerable amount more than consoles
Consoles going away is a rumor spread by PC players

Keyboard controls are great for games that need precision like shooters and simulators, but unnessary for RPGs, adventures, puzzles and platformers. Because a mouse controls where you point something and an analog sticks instead control velocity. They have different pros and cons and most of the time it's just the personal preference of the player.

That's the thing though, shooters are definitely on the way out, and adventure games are in. And unless you have a really fancy mouse, I feel like mice are infinitely less easy to control than a stick.
Besides, it'll be a cold day in hell when Nintendo gets out of the hardware market, even with how stupid they are being right now, I feel as though they will learn from this mistake and give their next console either something like a Wii mote again or some hybrid like the PS4 controller. Not only that, they are still profiting in the mobile console market even with iPads running wild. They know they are the cheaper alternative at the moment, and will make money as long as the Pokémon and Mario games keep comin.

Shooters are still alive on PC. This year is seeing a lot of free-to-play shooters on Steam. Adventure games are more popular on consoles. Games like Uncharted and Red Dead don't even get PC ports. (Hilariously, Naughty Dog's company uses networked PS3s for their developmental servers xD)

I guess maybe that's why they are leaving consoles. FPS games are making a moves to PC whiles Consoles broaden out and do other things, since that's what each one has as a strength.
Ha ha, that's awesome!! I love the creative uses people find for PS3s.

Nomura had an interview about KH3 today.
He said that it was announced too early but he wanted to give something to the fans, and the scene was not an actual cutscene, but representative of what the game will look like. He is also thinking about adding an online feature possibly, maybe something to do with gummi ships or co-op.

Ha ha ha hh a, you don't say....
This figures, ha ha ha, I won't pretend to be surprised. And that sounds a lot like the online features Birth By Sleep had, which was actually a lot of fun, you could either compete directly, or do co-op missions where you take on giant hoards and super bosses, it was a lot of fun to do, two of my neighbors had BBS, so we would get together and do Ad hoc games, it was crazy. Though, I don't know how that would be justified in the main series, unless like, the players can all choose who to play as, like Sora and Riku and stuff, that'd be fun!
The other mode they had was this like, monopoly Mario Party style thing, where you put down abilities on different blocks around the map, and roll to move, and as people paid into your blocks, it would level up your abilities, it was rather interesting. That would be fun as well.
Also, I hope Aqua somehow comes back in the new game, she was kinda cool, a girl keyblade user who used a lot of cool magic, she had an awesome hybrid style. TERRIBLE voice actor though, it sounded like she was texting or something while reading her lines.
