I've been planning to make this post for.................well....way too long. I decided bumping the old thread would have been wrong for this situation. I've actually been putting this off a little because I wanted to get it just perfect, and I'm doing it now because of something else exciting I got to complete my upstairs setup. First some history. Control Center 1.0 is presently downstairs in shambles, I've spent the last couple of months methodically ripping it apart piece by piece as I've made acquisitions and picked up key pieces to make everything work. It was small, it was cramped, and I HAD a picture, but it isn't useable at the moment. It consisted of my old busted PC, my really old TV, my PS3, and a ghetto busted kitchen chair from what I can only assume is a farmer's house in colonial times. I've assembled tirelessly for months, picking up small components and large ones to make both of the computers work together and as I need them to for my ultimate setup. And without further ado, I reveal to you tonight, the ALMOST completed Control Center 2.0, AKA, THE BATCAVE! Just to go over the components in more detail, it consists of two computers functioning in unison, including your wonderful computer :nigga: And as I'm sure you noticed in the first photo, the computer isn't running Windows 7 like it came, but instead Ubuntu. BUT, don't worry, I didn't replace that running system you went out of the way to get for me, I have the computer dual booted, and I switch back and forth. But I DO use it in both, and I looked around it in Windows 7. First off, I noticed the computers description, awwwww :nigga: Also, what is Speccy? It was on the desktop and I have no clue what it is and don't want to delete it if it's important. Clearly though, everything works beautifully. It is wonderful, thank you SO SO much, I still love it. :nigga: I've actually been playing and customizing it for a few weeks, and it has been SO HARD not to just straight up burst out and tell you, but I wanted to di it like this instead. And that secret wasn't even REMOTELY as hard as the other one. I got that this week as well, that's why I've been so distant this week actually, because I didn't want it to slip by accident, I wanted to tell you SO bad, but I had to do it right. I have been saving for this for LITERALLY years. Like, this new TV is basically about 3 years worth of Christmas money. coming together. It's a Sony of course, LED, 32" had to do it right. And I've got it on an HDMI. I played FFIX on it last night, that was awesome. The sound on it is actually pretty good for a flat screen. AND GOOD LORD IS IT LIGHT! I mean, you know how heavy the last gen ones are, I mean not as bad as like a CRT of course, but still, reasonably hefty. This thing, I could friggen juggle like six of them without breaking a sweat! It probably weighs about as much as my laptop. It's INSANE! You can also see other things. Like my mom's poor judgement in color choices. She did this room years ago with neon green paint and thought BRIGHT YELLOW curtains would look good with it. You'd think a small child or Ripdo made the color scheme for this room, seriously, but that will be changed soon, as we will be painting this room soon, and I will be doing something about those disgusting things. Also, you can see my new stuff from the dirt mall today, the sword, the sword rack, and the new USB controller next to my busted headset, ha ha ha. You can see the ear cup dangling off, ha ha ha Anyway, with all this in mind. Would you like to play LBP? :nigga:

Speccy... shows specs hahaha it's just a program that shows RAM, CPU use and stuff. I knew about it before Rainmeter. Hahaha yeah, TV these days are a bunch of wires, a small box and the screen. They weigh nothing xD You officially have a cooler room than I do, colors aside.

So it's just like some other Rainmeter substitute? I downloaded Rainmeter, so I guess I can just be rid of it then, unless it does something special that Rainmeter doesn't, ha ha ha
Well, less wires than before, and small box?
Ha ha ha ha ha, yeah, and those colors will change. It's a constant work in progress, like you should have seen behind the camera, the pile of boxes and bags. I can't wait to trash all of this extra junk and have room in here again, ha ha ha. And it's so cool because of your wonderful computer :nigga:
Yours could be that cool too I'm sure, you have a PC and a laptop, just organize them in a cool way :nigga: Your creative, you slept under a table to get a cool setup, ha ha ha
By the way, the bottom monitor was what I watched your birthday livestream on, and that was when it was literally just my Laptop and the other monitor sitting on the desk partially built, ha ha. All it had was the bottom half, no hutch, no chair, remember, when I had to grab a chair, I didn't have one yet.

Yeah I know! I probably will next time I sign in on the Windows 7 side, just to see what it does, ha ha ha
Ha ha ha, oh right. well it barely even has that now! Mine is just basically a screen, with a teeny tiny stand and a little bit of a frame, it's sleek as a mofo.
What do you think I've been doing all this time? hah a ha. I go MAD Multitask with this setup. I made that previous post while watching Cowboy Bebop on the other screen. When we did the last stream, I put you on one screen full screen, and put the chat window in the other screen next to Groovy so I could watch the game full screen as it was meant to be seen, while also being able to do other stuff. And now with your computer I have three functional screens, and I have a program that lets me use my Laptop touchpad and keyboard with your computer wirelessly over the network, so they function like they are all one computer, it's so insanely awesome. I just keep your keyboard and my mouse on the desk for situations when the program isn't running or when I wanna do more precise stuff with the mouse. With three screens, I can have one up with Groovy, one with something else up, like Youtube videos, and then have my emails and stuff up on your computer, or other stuff like GIMP on Ubuntu, or this cool program I have on Windows 7 that tracks my energy useage through the Surge Protector. THIS is why I have trouble adjusting to going single screen, ha ha ha

Ha, any well-put together TV these days is. Flatscreens are awesome, it's amazing how we put up with CRTs for so long, the tubes are unnecessary.
Ahahaha, that's way too multi-tasking to me. My multi-tasking limit is youtube and net surfing. xD Or music and video games. My brain would probably explode trying to keep track of everything, but I do love the idea of being in a studio environment. Like the computer geek in Eden of the East had his computer in his closet full of a bunch of servers. My brother has a setup similar to your's, except he also has a subwoofer hooked up. heh.

Ha ha ha, indeed. Especially me, you stopped putting up with them years ago!
Well that's how I used to be, then once you kinda unleash your full potential, you begin to see just how much you can do, tossing things from screen to screen, it's a lot of fun really. And yeah, that's why I've built this for the most part, to be my work studio. You saw what I could do with a busted monitor and essencially a quarter of a screen in 3 months, imagine what I could do with 3 screens and 6 months, or a year! I wouldn't have to pick between graphical work OR programming or something, I could do it all! Or focus on one more effectively. The options are endless. And ha ha ha, yeah, I wanna kinda use yours as a server, I wanna set up a VPN so when I'm at school I have access to all my home assets securely. Mine has a tiny subwoofer under the desk, it's nothing special, but it gets it's thump on when it must, ha ha ha. It's all cheap stuff really, I built the ultimate computer on a budget really. Like the monitor hooked up to your computer is a Dell professional series, usually goes for about $200 online, got it for $35 at the pawn shop down the street. This whole thing would have cost thousands and thousands if I bought everything new. And with how versatile it is, I can upgrade components little by little if I need to!
I'll be on very shortly! :nigga:
