Ironically, it's the news that makes people shoot up places more than anything.
Anyway, I heard this didn't pass?

It's crazy people that make people get shot. And the fact that they have such easy access to guns.
I'm telling you taxing the hell out of bullets is the real solution. make a single bullet cost $300 and then see how much shooting people do. Also, deregulate other forms of weaponry. If the only choice people have is guns, thats what they'll choose.
Either way, the point is, GAMES HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!! It should show just how much of a farce this committee is if they ever seriously took this line of thinking. It would be a smaller waste of time to decommission the committee and just wait for the next tragedy. At least then stupid ways of thinking wouldn't continue to be explored. Media in general isn't the problem, not of any kind, it's the worthless healthcare system that does a poor job of taking care of those with serious mental illness. It's the completely worthless public school system that is loaded with incompetent employees who just want garenteed salary and summers off and no one who is worthy of being called an educator, who don't care whatsoever about their students, so students with the real issues just get ignored or general bounced around a special ed system that makes things worse rather than better for these kids. There are a lot of problems here, but the media is the easy way out for these incompetent, backwards minded morons.
The sole reason this committee exists is to qwell the overkill anxieties of bitchy overprotective soccer moms, not to actually find a reason. Want proof? What do bitchy overprotective soccer moms hate most? Video games. Why? Because they are crazy and irrational and wouldn't know a real problem if it shot them in a movie thearter. So to shut them up, the government created a superfluous committee to attack everything they hate so they'll shut up and forget about it until the next time someone shoots up a school
If they really wanted to fix the problem, this conversation would A, be focused solely on improved mental health reform, and B, wouldn't involve the NRA, although if anyone were proof that mental healthcare reform was nessesary, it would be them. But the media is the easy scapegoat and their blaim in this whole thing is only proof that this committee isn't taking their task seriously. They saw how healthcare reform went and don't want to do that again, so lets direct our attention to something that isn't remotely related to the problem
I can say that if any game designer even CONSIDERS changing the way they make games because of this, they need to change professions as they don't deserve to live, much less be involved in this business.

If you were an angry mother, who would you rather deal with? Gunslingers, or guys who sit behind a computer screen all day?

I'd rather deal with the real problem rather than something that has nothing to do with it.
The guns aren't the problem, the mental health issues that cause people to take the gun they have EXTREMELY easy access to and kill a bunch of little kids are the problem. But if we have to ban something, ban the something that was actually present at the crimescene. If you give one psycho killer a gun, and another a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4, who do you think will kill more people? They don't have to deal with gunslingers, they have to deal with doctors.

I guess this is related, as it is something that makes me go JDLdhKHKDHFUHEUHFUIE!!! and is related to the government.
I can't beileve there are any serious talks going on about the debt ceiling again. I hate this entire government, The republicans ruin everything for everyone and the democrats allow it to happen. And the stupid people who elected these morons have the nerve to be suprised when they do such self serving things.
You know what would have solved this problem months ago? Including an irreversable paycut to all Congressmen in the fiscal cliff negociations instead of stuff that effects the people only. Like they care what happens to the people. You wanna give them insentive, attack them directly.
The only thing Obama should do right now as his ONLY debt ceiling negociation is to enact an executive order that adds a stipulation to the government shutdown protocol that causes congress to not get paid for the remainder of their term, and thats perminant, so even if they raise the debt ceiling, they still won't get paid for the remainder of the year.
My alternative would be to label the tea party as a terrorist group and immediately arrest anyone who was ever associated with it, charging them with Treason for holding the country hostage. That would thin out the herd. Or prove that the Republican party is a hate group (not difficult) and have them shut down and removed from all future balots.
