The motion controller they debuted last year finally has a name, and I've seen some video of some new details about it. It looks like a Wii mote but done way better. The one fighting game I saw looks like it kicks the shit out of Wii Boxing, thats for damn sure. They also debuted the Move Sub Controller, which is basically a Nunchuck immitation. They seem to be using it way differently than Wii does though, so I think this could be very interesting to see.
Personally, I think it's a great move by Sony, very strategic, so now they can pick off some of the Nintendo market by making games that up to this point would only go to Nintendo and making them into cross platforms, giving PS3 yet another edge over Xbox, and even getting at Wii a little bit, since using PS3 technology to do what the technologically weaker Wii cant allow, perhaps taking motion games to the next level beyond being simple minigames to actual games worth beating.

Though, if you think about it, the Nintendo had the chance to do what Sony is planning on if Nintendo didn't pride themselves on "Wii ____" games. Motion control is the way of the future and though Nintendo started it, as well as the touch screen, it seems that someone else takes the idea and makes it better, making Nintendo disappear in the market. I mean, Sony's even planning for a UNIVERSAL controller: gorumors.com/playstation-universal-game-controller/275628

I dunno what I think of a universal controller, each system should feel different when playing it, but I don't know. we'll see how it pans out
And yeah, I think Playstation will eventually take over the motion controller. They do it right, making the motion controller an option instead of the default. I know I would only use the Move for select games, like the fighting/boxing type games, and that sports champions game, but other than that, I would only use the Duelshock 3.
I don't see them taking out Wii yet, but in time I think they will, think about it, PS3 can now do what Wii could do, but better, plus it's a Blu-ray player, and it can play all the other games on the market Wii can't, as well as PS3's already great exclusives, plus pleanty of more entertainment options, it's a much better family entertainment system, since it truely entertains the whole family, including the members older than 13 years of age. And all this for $300 now? You'd have to be nuts to think any of the other systems were a better deal from a family standpoint. Plus the whole Move starter pack costs less than $100, and has way more than the Wiimote/nunchuck/Wii Motion plus together, and costs less.

At the rate the consoles seems to be going, that Xbox will die out first (unless that Natal thing gets popular), and Nintendo and Sony might become one company again. The industry could become a one-console deal which would make things easier in some aspects, but it might prompt new companies to try their turn at a console. But a time without stupid console wars would be quite peaceful. Seriously, the only reason I think the Xbox is still around (besides the popularity of FPS games right now) is because it's the only American console. If Microsoft fails, all the consoles would be Japanese developed. And there are people who do not have the PS3 or the Wii just because of that. Though I personally wouldn't care either way. But yeah, Sony's the way to go. I have the Wii almost exclusively for Zelda games and the occasional gem.

Project Natal is fucking stupid, it doesn't give it the option of increasing it's market and just looks retarded. But I do think Xbox will last a little longer, it still has a few zealots still following, but in the end, I don't see history being too kind to Xbox, in the end, it'll end up being last. As for Nintendo and Sony merging? Not so sure about that, healthy competition creates more money. Not only that, I just don't see that happening with the way game industry is these days. The console wars are lucretive, and I don't see it stopping any time soon.
And what? Is that real, people not owning it because it's japanese? Thats so fucking stupid that it blows my mind and enrages me.
Yeah, both have their value, but PS3 is the superior system. I still will own a Wii at the end of this generation when it's $30 like Gamecube.
