It's not that much of a stretch. Considering that this is in the MGS3 soundtrack as well. youtu.be/jjkMU9Hv_VYI never get tired of Miyamoto talking. He's just a sweet old man now.

They have some cool games this year like a new Xenoblade Chronicles, a new Yoshi game, a new Kirby game, Star Fox, and of course a new Pokemon and Zelda game. Nearly every Nintendo fan is getting something they like relatively soon.

I just watched the trailer for Mirror's Edge 2
WOAH that actually looks pretty awesome, the new combat looks WAY more suited to the style they were looking for, so much more fluid. We'll see what happens with it, but it might be pretty awesome if it continues on this path.
Also, this game would be kinda insane with Morphious or Oculous.
Also, the reason her face looks different is because they changed her hairstyle.

They showed off a new trailer of Pokemon ORAS today and the in-game footage looked oretty nice. I think it's given that they will reuse all the pokemon models from X/Y, but the battle stages have been tweaked to include more background elements and the Hoenn region has been slightly modified to make the water routes shorter (thank god!). The main characters have been re-designed, and I honestly like them. I guess since it's a remake they won't allow trainer customization again this time hahaha Team Aqua was redesigned to be all black people (from the looks of it). heh.
And new Megas! hype.

I re-watched No Man's Sky and saw something interesting. When the player visited the second planet it said: "Discovered by BBlitz" or a name like that. I think that means that if you're the first player to find a planet, it is forever established that you found it.

Yeah, I noticed that the first time, which was one of the features that I really liked about it
I wanna know how much planet there is to explore on each planet, like what there is to find, if you can define each race, if theres like caves and stuff to explore, or loot and such, or if you can establish settlements on different planets and run them like an ingame meta-economy like EVE
If so, this game would have the potential to be really awesome, especially if they integrate a 3rd person view.

You act as though it's impossible for small teams to make genius games. What they did is what we're gonna do, except even better.
Have you thought about that yet?

It's just in one boat you have Ubisoft saying how making a female PC for Unity would be too much work (and subsequently whining about costs) and in another boat you have Hello Games that obviously takes a lot of work and they made it work.

Well thats because Ubisoft have become a large company who are too worried about profit and now suck at making games because of it.
We indie developers work harder because we are actually passionate about what we do. We don't make money, we make games. These guys are a prime example of that mentality, all you need are six talented, passionate people to make something great.
Eric Chahi made Out of this World by himself, and that game is the reason people like Hideo Kojima and Fumito Ueda do what they do. Team size doesn't determine quality, skill and passion do.

Man, you know what I love about Nintendo's conference? For the most part it's just trailer after trailer after trailer on auto-play. And they all include gameplay, there was no pure CG trailer. There's a little bit of developers talking about their game, but at least it always cuts back to the game while they talk It's always a high energy of "check this out and check this and now check this out."
Makes me realize that stage shows are boring and full of filler. Smash Bros had the longest on-screen time, but that's because it's a highly anticipated game and Reggie needed to be Reggie. If anything, this show solidified my desire to get a Wii U.

I think you missed the point of my post. I just said that the whole stage thing doesn't flow as nicely as a pre-recorded video full of trailers and dev interviews. Nintendo's show was fun, unlike Sony's where it was more of "okay, I like this one... no don't talk about betas and stupid things for five minutes, show me more trailers."
Honestly I'm starting to think the live stage is unnecessary. You don't need to see a person play the game in a live demo if the same message can get across in a recording of someone playing it the same way.

Frankly I think the conferences should be dryer, thats what I liked about Jack Tretton so much, he was a professional, not some fat slob trying to sound hip. At the end of the day, he did what he was supposed to do, sell hardware. It is a hardware conference. They are there to sell SONY products, or NINTENDO products, not just games to rabid junkie fans. If you try to appeal to the fans too much, you end up with Ayeasha whatsherface's and other such obnoxious asshatery.
The ironic problem that has landed Nintendo where it is now is the fact that they went right in the face of what they did so well last generation, and that was be as all inclusive as possible. As annoying as the Wiimote was, it wasn't always completely alienating, and GC controllers were sometimes an option. It goes right in the face of what they've been doing for so many years, keeping things simple and elegent, my favorite things in design. The Wii U is the anti-N64
And I prefer live demos, it incentivises you to build a better game. If it screws up on that big stage, everyone sees it. Plus the idea of speaking on that stage excites me, getting to essencially personally pitch my game to hundreds of thousands of people and have them all see it.
Theres something old fashioned about it that I like, the potential for really cool suprises.

Really? I like the opposite where you don't get stuffy businessmen and people standing on stage like a deer in headlights. A pre-recorded video can be edited for elegance and speeds up the process of transitioning from game to game. And there is no stupid "pan the camera to the guy playing the game because that's what people like to see" moments, or when they have mic screw-ups. The main difference between Aisha and Reggie is that people actually like Reggie; while he can be goofy, he does take his job seriously. Aisha is just a trainwreck, and Ubisoft only has her because she has online popularity, not because she's a good spokesperson.
As it stands right now, the Wii U is funnily enough, the most simple of all the consoles in this generation. Sony has the Sony Camera, PS TV thing from yesterday, Project Morpheus, and can support bluetooth devices like keyboards. The Xbox has Kinect, the Kinect optional prop, charging stations and such. The Wii U just has a silly controller which is becoming more and more optional. At most, the only add-ons the Wii U is adding is for extra controller support.
Most "live demos" aren't even live these days, they "lipsynch" the gameplay to make sure nothing goes wrong or the gameplay always looks good. The only ones where I knew were live was AC Unity, Entwined and LBP3. Most of the other demos looked staged, like CoD's and Sunset Overdrive's perfect shooting and no screw-ups, as well as the Fable game and Order 1888 (though to be fair about 1888, that part of the game looked really limited in what you could do.) The only other contenders for "true live" is The Division and Rainbow Six, but even then... that voice chat sounds so scripted to the action.

Thats who this conference is for. It's not for fans, it's supposed to be for business people. A pre recorded video also misrepresents the game as better than it really is, seeing those screw ups proves it's real. Thats why the LBP3 reveal was so impactful and amazing, beyond the fact that the game itself is so good, the gameplay represented something real. People like Reggie because he's actually amusing. He does what Aisha wishes she could do. And Ubisoft keeps Aisha because Aisha is a perfect mascot for Ubisoft, a worthless gold digger making halfassed attempts to amuse people and failing miserably at it, and still getting paid anyway.
Simplicity is different than depth. PS4 CAN use all those things, but at the end of the day, it has something very important to playing games. A controller. The most basic configuration of a PS4 is pretty close to the same setup as the PS3, or the PS2, or even the PS1. There is no attempt to shift the paradigm, or make something needlessly convuluted. It's just a console and a controller. Wii U is working in reverse, starting with a stupid gimmick and working it's hardest to figure out how to get back to that simple controller. And not doing a good job at it.
Literally all Nintendo needs to do to become viable again is release a new iteration of the Wii U with native GC controller support, start producing new Gamecube controllers, except just call them Wii U Classic Gamecube controllers or something (basically just replace the Gamecube logo with the Wii U logo, NOTHING ELSE.) And then release a Dev kit that allows developers access to that GC controller so most 3rd party titles can be ported directly to Wii U without any massive hassle. And allow their main titles to be played with these controllers. And re-assign the Tablet to an optional perepheral role, but for the most part make people FORGET about it. It could have been like a "ha ha, look at that dumb perepheral" at release that like, 100 confused parents would have bought by accident thinking it was just a Wii accessory, and Nintendo could have sidestepped this whole mess.
They pay for that later when the player's experience doesn't match what they saw on screen. Or it matches move for move, like ACIII. And the only one that actually tagged itself as a live demo was LBP3, nothing else was outwardly called "A live demo" They just said "A demo"
