Wow
Yeah, I guess we always bought the cheap sparklers as a kid, I remember when playing with them you'd get the dripping off after a few seconds and it would burn up your hands and hurt a little bit. Ghetto bootleg chinese fireworks!
WHAT!? THEY'RE SHAPED LIKE NUMBERS!? H A HA HA HA
I just looked up 'cake sparklers' and thats what came up, ha ha ha ha

Also, it's weird playing Symphonia on PS3. The framerate is lower, but the text is crisper. "The HD release fixed a bug that allowed characters to learn both S and T artes." Man, that wasn't bug, that was a feature At least they added a casino.

The S and T thing was kinda stupid I thought, it was pointless really. Was that why?
Even if not, it's like trying to teach Steiner Cure. Even if he could learn it, his stats and equipment are so heavily biased towards physical combat and against magic that it would really be useless to try to turn him into a mage of any kind for any reason.

It was better for characters that could swing both ways, like Kratos and Lloyd. For instance, I would have Kratos learn healing wind since it was an AOE healing spell and then make him go straight T for up close attacks. I really depends on how you want to combo and play, like you can make Raine go S for the challenge of it.

It just felt so tacked on though for ToS
Personally I think the only games a system like that could have worked for were FF games between 6 and 8, where the characters with the exception of like, Aeris and Rinoa, were pretty similar in style, and perhaps may have benefitted from a system like this
Though really, all three of those games basically did implement such system, except in more clever ways.

Yeah, I didn't really pay attention to it until like my third playthrough.

Yeah, I thought it would matter when I started, but like, by the time Raine joined the party I realized it was totally useless and ignored it for the rest of the game

Yep, found that on my last playthrough. One of the many things that makes me think they really were just trying to rip off FFIX, because one of the Pluto Knights is also attracted to a flower girl and she makes a slightly more humorous comment about him
Ugh. Seriously. 7 DIFFERENT WRITERS APPROVED THAT!
I'm betting in reality the bad fanfic thread they got this story from had 7 posters in it and they all got credit.

Seems more like an FFVII nod to me.

Yeah I know, but it's the exact same nod FFIX made
That game really is just an amalgamation of FFIX and FFX. Probably why it's the only Tales game I can stomach, besides Robin being Lloyd.
I'm betting the real reason most of the cast didn't return was because the read the script for 2 and immediately turned down their roles.

According to Tara Strong she wasn't even contacted to reprise her role as Persea so...

To be fair, her services weren't nessesary in the first game either
I'm betting they didn't even contact Regal's voice actor for the first game, let alone the second.
That guy just happened to be standing in the lobby of the building when they threw him into the game, they just said "you need something to do for the afternoon? We'll buy you lunch if you read this piece of paper into this microphone for a few hours."

I'm betting his lines weren't even printed, they just kinda scribbled into the back of a composition pad when they all realized at the last minute before production that they hadn't come up with their Amarant-like character to complete the Pastiche.

So I found out that there's a comic book store literally down the street from my school. I should go there and see if they have any Samurai Jack comics in stock ^_^
