Heh, in a hurry for it to be your birthday?
Ha ha ha ha, aww! Celebrate more on my behalf!
Yeah, it is kinda serious, but pretty awesome. I like pikachus better, but who is that character?
Interesting how you used the rule of thirds with that color shift, it's very interesting. Simple, but effective.
Also, my internet's been down for the last hour or so, it was kinda weird

H ha ha ha ha, you should make him dance, ha ha hah a. Make a gif of that or something. And Jude? I thought that was a girl name

Milla is my current avatar, she's the second main character. Xillia does a RE2 thing with the storyline.
Rule of thirds? xD
Isn't Jude unisex? Aww whatever, FF9 had a character named Blank and FF7 had a character named Rude. xP

Huh, that's pretty cool. I do like female main characters :nigga:
Wow...I'm surprised you didn't know about it given how well you implemented it.
Basically, it's a video and photography principal, as far as arranging key elements of your image to line up with imaginary lines that split up your image into thirds horizontally and vertically. So like, you know how in SotC and the Arkham games, Wander or Batman are never in the center of the frame? They are abiding by the rule of the thirds. Some cameras even come with bars you can put up on the display so you can shoot things with rule of thirds in mind.
The way you arranged your avvy, Milla's head, her eyes in particular, make up about 2/3s of the frame, and that pink section really helps point that out, since it highlights essencially the first third of the image. The last third has some nice lead room, it gives her some room to breathe. At the same time, her browline and that particular detail in her hair fill 2/3s in their own right and are again nicely highlighted by that box detail. Even your name is nicely placed on the bottom third, it crosses the first vertical third, but the right side alignment and all the other movement lines on the image like her hair make it rest naturally.
OK, I MIGHT have had some caffeine with my pizza...so my brain is in overdrive.
I dunno, maybe. Vagrant Story's main character was named Ashley, and he was a guy. And Rude is a good name, it could be a last name. We had a bald councilor in our school named Mr. Rude and I always called him just Rude. He didn't like it, but I didn't like him, so it all worked out, ha ha ha. And Blank was a bro

It's my first one so it's probably ehhh
I've always liked Peeki's sigs.

Well, that's what the Rule of Thirds is best at, making things look nice :nigga:
You also used a principal called Psychological closure, with how you cropped the top and side of her head, it allows you to focus on the most important part. Your mind can fill in the missing parts, thus why it's called psychological closure.
A lot of stuff in this field is actually super intuitive, these days everyone has seen most of the tricks, they just don't know they've seen them, so they do them without knowing why they work, and look nice.
I really hope you get a chance to do a video production or photography class in your new degree, I think you would learn a lot from it, and I think you would enjoy it :nigga:

Hah a ha ha ha ha, awww!
It's definitely a good starter! Not too fancy, nice and simple, lots of color too! :nigga:
Awwwwwww, yeah, his were great! He was a great artist, it still puzzles me that he went to school to be a chemical engineer, not a graphic artist or something. I wish he was still around :niggasad:
Did he do sigs for you? I know he did most of Eve's and his own of course.

Hehe the first half hour was making the background. I'll get better at them with practice, I'll probably do a pichu one eventually. He did one for me, it's buried in my photobucket somewhere. Probably because chemical engineer pays way more would be my guess.

Yeah, definitely, backgrounds are fun though, you can get lost in those, then it takes a long time not because you are just learning how to do it, but because your having fun playing with all the options. How did you do it? I wanna say difference clouds filter or pastels or something?
Ha ha ha ha, awwww. He did so many pieces it was insane. It's easy to forget that he was also a ridiculous writer as well. He was extremely artistically talented.
Well yeah, but I'd figure he'd be above that, being an artist and all. The passion for the craft exceeds the need for material wealth! Though I guess he wants to be like Edgar from FFVI, technological genius/Royalty(he's the pharaoh)/Ladies man.

Different layers, different effects with different colors that blend well. But yeah, it started with a cloud filter. You can apparently get custom ones from deviant art and stuff. This sig is seven layers total. Peeki will use his vast wealth to further his arts

Wow.....Yeah I've done that before, merging and blending layers to see what I like. I would just open up documents and just go on filter adventures essencially. I'd kinda just get started applying different layers and an image would form in my mind as to what I was making should be. It was basically just a nice stress reliever for a while, I would just open up the program and start editing, I have a lot of crazy abstract pieces on my old computer. And custom what? Custom filters?
Or build a giant castle that can burrow in the sand (wow, the Edgar metaphor fits better than I thought) and travel to different places, and hopefully visit us! and then he can build a real life Kaiba land around his castle so we could go duel whenever we wanted!

Custom brushes. Photoshop comes installed with brushes that do patterns and effects, but you can download 'fan-made' ones on the internet, kinda like how you can download new fonts off the internet.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, riiiiiiiiiiiight. I didn't use the brushes too much when I had Photoshop.
I was actually trying to find a font today, I was looking for Copperplate Gothic because I wanted to use it for one of my intro graphics, but I can't find a legit download anywhere.

DA FAQ I was going through some old files in my documents folder and found a file from April 2012 labelled "COLOR" and opened it up to see this: i.imgur.com/MfZWERM.pngand upon pasting it... ░█████░░░░░█████░█░░░░░█░░░█░░░░░█░░███░░░░░░░███░░█░ █░░░ █░░░░░ █░░░ ██ █░░░ ███░░░ █░░░ ███ █░░ ████░░░ █░░ ████ █░░░ ███░░░ █░░░███ ░█░░░█░░░░░█████ ░░███░░░░░█░░░░░██ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░██ ░░ ██░░░░ ██░░░░░░░░ ███░░░ ████████░░░░░░░ ███░░░░ ████████░░░░░ ███░░░░░░ ████████████░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ █░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ █ ██░░░░░░░░░░ ███ █░░░░░░░░░░ █ █░░░░░░░░ █ █░░░░░░ █

Also, when I pass over your sig quickly, I read it as Judge Mathis It was one of those small claims court shows, except he was hilarious, not just scary like Judge Judy. It always came on after Smackdown in the old days.
