But I'll tell you. Today I had some extra spending money thanks to my oh so dear family members (;D) so I headed to Gamestop to see what was there. After looking around for a bit I ended up buying a used copy of LA Noire and Yakuza 3... At least, that what the cases said. When I got home, to my surprise, my copy of LA Noire was an unclaimed pre-order with the codes still inside; MOREOVER the Yakuza 3 case had a disk for Yakuza 4, PLUS a DLC code for it too! HOLY SHHHHHHhh-!!!! I had actually wanted to buy Yakuza 4 instead of 3, but 4 was still $50 so I bought the $20 copy of Yakuza 3 instead... Oh my god, this is amazing! (T▽T) I'm gonna miss this Gamestop when I go up north, let me tell you.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!? Wow, thats definately the new best Gamestop story ever. I thought I had one or two, but that one blows them all away. Wow. That is incredible! Maybe they know your leaving and wanted to give you a graduation present
I wish I had something like that happen to me, ha ha ha ha.

Funnily enough, there is a similar story involving a different Gamestop giving a customer a Yakuza 4 disk inside a Yakuza 3 case.

I've seen like 15 cutscenes man. >_> I think the side-quests, item collection and mini-games count towards completion maybe... I spent an hour and a half playing pachinko though. Hahahaha ... maybe I AM distracted. ;

Is that long Kojima cutscenes or super short GTA style cutscenes.
Yeah, usually. And whats Pachinko? Sounds like a new fangled Pokemon.
Ha ha ha ha, not that it's a bad thing, as long as it's fun.

It's kinda middle ground but more on the GTA side. There will be short scene of fighting off some gang members, and then there would be the longer cutscenes when the Yakuza groups make agreements or question the other family on their best options over the death of an important member or the invasion of territory. Pachinko is a very popular gambling game in Japan and has been for over 50 years now... The last estimate taken said that people spent over $300 billion dollars playing Pachinko so it's a very profitable business. The point is that you start out with so many metallic balls and you have to win more than your starting amount to make a profit. It's kinda like a vertical form of pinball but you get on flippers... It is, it's actually kinda like an RPG game. You do some side-quests, get random jumped (like a random monster battle ), gain stats and make friends with locals through fetch quests. Heh.

Indeeeed, so the story is not incredibly deep, just kinda there to guide the player just barely, knowing who to kill at the time. Ha ha ha ha
But yeah, sounds interesting. Like, how do you play, like litterally like Pinball? Thats a LOT of money though, hah a ha ha. Especially considering what currency they are using to get to that number of dollars, ha ha ha.
Hmm, like a cross between AC and FF, ha ha ha ha. Sounds entertaining. Do you get to use nunchucku and swords and stuff on people?

Oh the story is the main driving point. There's actually a trophy to watch all the cutscenes from the previous three games (included in the main menu) and those can get Kojima long too. >o> You mostly just sit there and let luck guide you, but there are certain buttons you can press at certain times to change the outcome, like making the balls fall differently. Jeez, you get those and more! Anything you can pick up can be used as a weapon... bikes, traffic cones, swords, beer bottles, people; it's actually pretty fun to figure out all the different ways you can kill people.

So your saying every single cutscene from the last 3 games is somehow watchable in this game!? Thats amazing! Thats good, I like that idea. If I ever make a long running series, I might do that.
So how does it work, like the flippers literally flip the balls up, and the land somewhere, I'm still not grasping how this works.
Sounds like Saint's Row, I think you can do the same thing in that. I thought it was more direct. I had the impression at first that it was sorta like an action fighting game where you could also use weapons. I like the old school Yakuza weapon set that they showed in Deadlest Warrior, dispite how awfully biased that show is. It's a pretty solid set though, if you added Katanas to it.

Yeah, in their PS2 full glory graphics too!
I really have no idea myself, I just randomly pressed buttons and saw my ball number increase every so often. Hahaha
You can buy weapons to use at your disposal. The first weapon I bought was an umbrella from a convenience store. I didn't know it was a weapon at first. xD

Awesome!! Thats the way it should be done.
Indeeeeed. I'll have to read more about it later and figure it out.
Well yeah, all games like that allow stuff like that. HAH A HA H HA HA, What, did you think you were actually gonna use it as an umbrella!? Ha ha h ah ha

Well it was raining in game and my character complained about it so I went inside the store and bought an umbrella and tried to equip it. Which happened, I DID equip it but he never took it out to shield himself from the rain... which I thought was odd but I shrugged it off.
And then when I got into my next fight I saw the umbrella in my hand and so I literally killed the first guy with a purple umbrella. Hahahaha

HA HA HA HA H AH HA HA
And for a tough Japanese Gangster you bought a PURPLE UMBRELLA!? HA HA HA H HA
And honestly it would prolly be tough to beat anyone with an umbrella to death, it would break long before it could inflict fatal damage unless you landed a super lucky shot with the first swing, or if it had a really pointy end. Reguardless it would probably only be useable in one fight maybe.
